One lucky bounce and a another clutch shot from Horry.

Don't forget game 6, which was the most blatantly one-sided officiated game in sports history.

But Horry's greatest shot ever may be the one this season he put on Steve Nash in game 4 against the Suns.

What a crap to make the argument that way!

Kings still had game 7 to play on their own home court. They are at least as talented as the lakers. The Lakers were preparing for game 7 calmly. Phil Jackson asked players to image the scene that they won game 7. At the same time, Adelman and others still were mad about game 6. They probably still thought about game 6 when they were playing game 7. No wonder they lost game 7 on their home court.

To think otherwise just tells you why champions are difficult to get. Most ordinary people do not know how to win under adversity.

Yeah, most people don't know how to win when the refs are against you. Ask last year's Mavericks.

The point of this thread is to emphasize the fact we are (hopefully/ knock on wood) getting a great coach in Adelman. One who has been to the finals twice and narrowly missed going with one of the most exciting teams in the NBA.

Another point is to celebrate a great moment of an eternal Rocket hero. ;)

I thought this thread would be a youtube of Bevetta's out of bounds call on Amare last night. Amare was trying to save a ball from going out of bounds, and clearly did, but stepped on the out of bounds line after tipping the ball in, yet Bevetta called him out, anyway.

I like Dick and the way he officiates the game, but that Kings/Lakers game really really was officiated poorly, and kept the Kings out of the Finals as much as anything.

While I firmly believe JVG is not the right coach for a team with TMac & Yao as the core, I'm equally not sure if Adelman will be the right man. We are all just speculating based on their past success or failure.

JVG has proved that he is not capable of developing a system to utilize the players' strength, and compensate their weakness, hence the three quick exits from the playoff. One the other side, Adelman did have some success with the Blazers and the Kings, but don't forget he did terrible with the Warriors.

Another comment about the style of up tempo basketball. When people talk about up tempo basketball today, they automatically assume it's a run & gun style like the Suns and the Warriors, which is total wrong. Up tempo basketball is not necessary running up & down the court, it just has more motion to it, for both players and ball. Yao will be fine with it.

I was crushed when the sissy Queens lost game 7. Because they clearly had the superior talent that year, Horry's shot didn't hurt me as much because I thought it only delayed the inevitable. When the Lakers won game 7 in Sacramento, I was in the dumps.

The Kings were an even better team the year after they lost in the WCF. Had Webber not gone down, don't know who would have beaten them.

Adelman would be great for you guys. He's not the one who missed those FT's in Game 7 after all. :)
