Yeah some dude went on ranting that T-Mac is a failure and that we need to shop him. Man people can't face the fact that our team just disappeared and some of the players who never showed up to play ie Luther Head, Rafer Alston and Shane Battier. Please stop blaming T-Mac for because it takes a team to win.
Yeah. Perhaps it's interesting that Morey said he talked to those other guys, and sort of mentioned Rafer as an afterthought -- could be hearing too much into it though. Morey put it in the context of the "veterans on the team". I'm guessing Dikembe's future is very much in doubt (though he is a free agent). I like Morey, and it seems like he's been a bit of a pawn of Les' in these dealings. One other note: I think Morey mentioned Van Gundy declined the team consultant offer.
it is easy to blame tmac. he's 0-7 in the playoffs now. u dont hear ppl blaming steve nash for choking the last game. u dont hear ppl talking about lebron sucking 2 4tht quarters in a row. u dont hear vince didnt even get off a gw shot. its easier to blame tmac
LOL, in his mind he was in a club down in old Soho drinking champagne that tastes just like coca cola.
he said it was texting instead of talking on the phone with Rafer, Rafer might have been busy or something.. thats what I understood but its clear, this whole run around game was forced by Jeff, and the rockets did not want to loose their chance of getting a better coach like I said, the guys know what they are doing...they are professionals
What the hell was Morey talking about a confidentiality agreement? This thing was blown out of proportion on the cover of every newspaper in Houston for the last two weeks. I'm starting to think what kind of job this guy was doing as a consultant for the CIA?
I don't know about anyone else but I for one am satisfied that he spoke to Juwan Howard about the change. That would have been a deal-breaker for me.
well, most of them were rumors, they can't go out and just say you know, this is whats going on, they have to set things straight and everything should be done with a reason they can't just pull it out of their ass, even tho it looked like it through the media
generally you speak first to your senior players, its about respect IMO I think he did a good job if he's talking the truth
Tmac is soft and deserves the blame for the playoff chokejob this year. He's afraid to attack the basket and settles for jumpshots, which I wouldn't mind as much if he could actually hit any jumpshots. His shooting is raferesque now and he needed to take it to the whole more in the playoffs. I think tmac should be shopped too, but with his back, not many teams would want him.
he said he can't talk about the new coach or anything else about it yet, the reason for it is the same reason they could not talk about the JVG case the past few days, until everything is set they will not talk about it as soon as the new coach is hired, they both, the coach and the management will provide us with more info on what their plans are
Some of the quotes I got down ... http://www.clutchfans.net/news/1400/morey_knows_rockets_must_be_upgraded/
