Suns firing on all cylinders like I expected. One more reason this will be a close game? Not only is it a home game for the Suns, but there's actually more pressure on the Spurs because everyone 'expects' them to win this one after the drama. That said, it's early and the Spurs will grind this out like they always do. I still count on this going down to the wire.
Elson is getting his behind handed to him at the moment. Wonder how much longer Popovich will keep him out there. Edit: That being said, the Spurs as a whole are getting their behinds handed to them as well.
everyone acted like the suspensions just handed the spurs the series, but this is why it didn't. the emotion of the suns from being underdogs, the suns having so many shooters that they can interchange people w/o killing the O, and the spurs not having the type of O to run away and hide anyway. and with duncan not only not abusing thomas, but not even getting up good shots (one reason i can't put duncan up there with shaq and hakeem), the spurs are really struggling.
This is the Spurs, not the Cavs. Eventually they will figure out this undermanned team and take control. Give them time. The only way the Suns win is to get an insurmountable lead while the adrenaline is still flowing and hold on for dear life.
I knew the spurs would not get many calls tonite I also figured the suns would win it Rocket River the suns. .. . ddddaaaarrrlllliiiinnngggsssss
38-24 and 4 minutes to go in the half, this is starting get boring the Spurs can't make shot and Suns are just jacking it up like the Warriors.
Already b****ing and moaning, I see...On a side note, did you call SR610 this morning? A Black gentleman called in and kept calling the Suns "darlings" or whatever and tried to defend the Spurs at every turn. On a serious note, don't count the Spurs out yet, I still think they will win this game and will eventually take it over and control the pace. The Suns were running on adrenaline in the first half, the second half both teams will settle down and the Spurs will pull away.
Finally Duncan wakes up from his coma and puts the misery out of the Spurs offense and now Suns look like they are going to take a nap. Man neither team can put together a sustained run for more than 5 minutes.
Yeah he said Duncan was own fire and two minutes later nobody on the Spurs can make a shot. I think he jinxed it and now Spurs gonna suffer.
Is it possible for both teams to lose this series? I keep giving myself excuses to like one team over the other but both teams have some pretty Unlikeable personalities....
so SA basically holds phoenix way down and picks this game to play their worst O ever and will end up losing?
Floppers taking it to the floor look at Bell drop like he fell from his bike and then Ginobili gets bounced by Barbosa. Flopping at its best especially that moment where in the last minute of the third quarter both Bell and Ginobili had a little incidental contact and dropped like the floor was made of ice. Ref gave them both the look like he is not buy that stuff. LOL
I don't know why people keep saying that. If I am not mistaken, he's a minority owner in the Phoenix Suns. I remember him at their press conferences a few years back announcing the sale of the team to new ownership, if I am not mistaken. Also, he's already called the Spurs "dirty" for some of their antics in the series. I don't think he's biased against the Suns at all.
well in general he is a massive spurs homer when announcing games. and you can still sense it some even in these games.
why is duncan sitting? this isn't the regular season where you rest for the playoffs, this could be the season. the suns aren't resting nash.
