Chronicle's Lopez, Ortiz talk to FoxSports about Astros

I'm not a big baseball fan, but found this to be interesting. Just saw something on Fox Sports where they talked with Chronicle writers John Lopez and Jose Ortiz. Ortiz basically said he had a call from an Astros player who told him they had 'tuned Dierker out' this season, and that they 'recognized him for what he is'.

Meaning, said Ortiz, a broadcaster and not a manager. Lopez kind of confirmed this saying the players went around Dierker to Drayton.

Nothing really new - and what the folks around here have been talking to for a while. JUst thought it was strange for Fox Sports to round up writers like that and do live interviews to get that. Is this something they do regularly?
