Rogers put in a great effort considering his 30 year old brother had died earlier in the day of a brain anyurism (sp?). I'm sure most of the fans in the arena had no idea what was going on in Carlos' head. Rudy had talked to Carlos before the game and said it was ok for him to take the game off but Rogers decided to play. If any of you have read the story on Rogers life you know that this was yet another in a long line of horrible things to happen to Rogers. His brothers initials were on the same he wore tonight along with his sisters name who had died of kidney problems a couple of years ago.

What a game by an incredible person.

My sentiments exactly. Most of you remember the national coverage when Rogers was with Toronto and elected to give up his basketball career to donate a kidney to his dying sister... only if I'm not mistaken they learned it wasn't going to help because she was too far along. I have the utmost respect for Carlos Rogers and my prayers are with his family.

    Yeah, life sux for Carlos

All the things he's done and been thru in his short life and he still remains a good hearted person who is thankful for what he has. From the kids he helps out to the image he projects to the fans, this guys is one of the classiest people you'll ever see or hear of.

    My 2 Cents...

I want this guy as long as possible. FOREVER. He is a great person with a different and powerful perspective on life. And also turning into a great player.

Run a search with his name on lycos and you get an idea about how much this man has had to persevere. He is a modern day Job. A man of great character.

If I was Carlos I would read the Sermon on the Mount. Matthew 5:3. Give it a look.

I also want this guy for as long as possible. He is another reason why rocket fans and the organization itself should be proud of the rockets. For some reason I did not like Carlos very much when he came into the league. I think he had a couple of good games against the rocks when he was with Warriors and the Raptors. but then i heard about his sister and what he wanted to do for her. Today his brother passes away. I was at the game tonite and I had no idea what he was going through. Now i have the utmost respect for Carlos. I dont know what else to say except that i hope God blesses him and his family.

And as if our level of respect wasn't high enough: the fact that he didn't want the crowd to know anything about what happened during the game pretty much tips the scale. No pre-game hype, he just went out and played.

I agree with CS: I hope he stays a Rocket for a good long time.

    WOW,

I was unaware of what a great character C. Rogers has. Don't ever get rid of this guy, he is the consumate garbage player. He does whatever it takes and he shoots a good percentage.

I wish we could start him, Cato and Dream on the front line. That would generate some serious mismatches for our opponents.

    GO LOS !!!

Yep Brahma. He has done exceptionally well. Considering he was slated to be the odd man out when Augamon came over with him. Augamon can't carry his jock IMHO.

He's got a 50% from the floor. Almost one point for every two minutes he spends there, and a pretty decent rebound stat.

agree with the sentiment, give it to the journeyman who's giving his most.

...but you know. Carlos has always played well when not injured. Now, according to the articles, he's finally happy with himself.

here's other improved players, but young like patterson: Nowitzi and Croshere.
