I hope they go ape**** in game 5, with Duncan put out of condition because no way am I gonna watch anymore NBA this season after this series.
David Stern' dilemma: Its like spending 10 years finding the perfect girl of your dreams and the night before your wedding you find out she is a cheap skank w**** who has banged everyone of your friends and you just caught her blowing the best man. Now how would you deal with that? NBA has spend so much time and effort billing the Spurs as "ULTIMATE TEAM" and now this blows up in your face and you know what Stern didn't have the balls to admit the NBA has become a league or thugs, drug dealers, rapist, wife-beaters and now his poster child team is a dirty w****. Sorry but it takes a man to let a b**** now where she belongs!
you can thank Steve KErr for that. HE immeadiately points out to the NBA stoudamire and diaw, along with Jackson taking too long 2 weeks ago, and the NBA takes action. If he doesn't bring this forward on national tv, there is less of a chance of the punishments being handed out.
Man, I can see it now... The Spurs win game 5 even though Phoenix fights hard to overcome these suspensions. The Suns win, facing elimination on the road, when Amare and Diaw come back with extra motivation in game 6. The score will be close in the last seconds of a hard-fought game 7... ...and then we all remember that Robert Horry's suspension is only 2 games. Too bad that might actually happen.
Duncan was not suspended because the rule clearly states there must be an "altercation" for you to be suspended for leaving you seat.
Duncan left when Elson was upended by Jones (hard foul). There easily could have been an altercation. If you want to get that technical, then Amare technically left the bench right after Nash was decked by Cheap Shot Bob. At that point, all that had happened was a ridiculously hard foul by Horry. So the altercation between Bell and Horry (and there's no way that can clearly be called an altercation anyway, it's all subjective) happened AFTER Stoudemire was on the court. So technically by the letter of the law he did NOT violate the rule because he was already on the court at the time the "altercation" occurred. If you define "hard foul" as altercation, then Duncan should have been suspended as well because the Elson play was a hard foul too. This is simply a double standard, one for SA, one for the rest of the league. I mean they've now cheapshotted Amare and Nash in THREE consecutive games (kick to achilles Game 2, knee to balls game 3, bodycheck game 4). And the Suns are the team which has lost 2 critical players for the biggest game of their season. Yeah, that makes a lot of sense. http://msn.foxsports.com/nba/story/6814904 This article about sums it all up.
man it sucks but stern does basically love the spurs. an altercation is anything he says is, the suns were screwed over and thats about it. heres to the suns winning the series despite losing their center/best 6th man. honestly if stern can't suck it up and suspend them next season thats fine by me, it only shows that he loves to take his time in considering whether or not he made a mistake, remember that NEW IMPROVED ball? yeah what happened to that GREAT idea? Guy's ego is far too big than this world to admit his mistakes.
1. The nba will make sure the Suns win so . . .do not dispair suns fans 2. nash got hit hard. . but he flopped to make it look worse 3. I hate Raja Flop 4. A Rule is a Rule 5. If this was Stephen Jackson and Rasheed . .. we would not be having this convo 6. You cannot have special rules for special players in special situations Allow Subectivity = Rodman getting a Tech for looking at an official . .. Duncan for laughing on the bench . . etc. . . Rocket River i hate Raja Flop
Spurs got rapped. . those Two Offensive Fouls on Duncan and that bogus Traveling calls. . . ridiculous The Zebras taketh . .and the Zebras giveth they seriously wants this to be a 7 game series and not matter what happened it was going to be this is just a convenient excuse Rocket River
Rocket River you are getting tired. The Spurs suck, and are a mortal enemy of the Rockets. They also are a bunch of dirty players, floppers (Raja has nothing on Manu and company--who have brought pure soccer style flopping to the NBA), punks and whiney crybabies when they are called on it. Their fans also sound like a bunch of pre-teen girls, their most sophisicated cheer is 3 syllabuls which most of their fans couldn't follow unless "Go" was spotted twice, and their French PG isn't getting any despite having a model/actress show up for his games. Have I missed anything else guys?
go join the damn spurs msg board.. and change your name to spurs river.. cuz u are a bigger spurs fan than a rockets fan... well obviously im a suns fan from my name.. but i was actually rather close to neutral before the series began. but the spurs have proven they are a bunch of dirty cheap players which i definately dont have any respect for. and hey im a suns fan but i can admit raja bell is a dirty player sometimes but he is nothing compared to bowen and horry
If I had to pick one of both, which I dont like since I am a rocket fan, I would pick the Spurs. Cant stant Mike.D melodramatic arguing and staring at the Refs after each and every call as if they were robbed.
Are you being serious or is this a parody of an irrational Spurs fan in San Antonio ? I guess it's funny either way.
Unless you're Tim Duncan and Bruce Bowen. The only reason Duncan was on the court was because he thought there might be an altercation. Yet, he gets to play in game 5. Easily, by far, not even close...the Spurs are my new least favorite sports team. I'd rather the Aggies win the national championship, Cowboys win the Super Bowl or the Yankees win a WS than this dirty, flopping, whiny group of b****es win another championship. And I won't shed any tears if Bowen ruptures an achilles and tears his sack. Karma is a b****. When you try to intentionally hurt people, you deserve it back.
