Bowen undercuts 110 jumpshooters. He wasn't suspended ONCE.

Amare and Diaw leave the bench after an Horry cheapshot on their bestplayer. Do they touch Horry? No. Do they add to the incident? No. Do they retreat to the bench? Yes. They have now been suspended more for their actions than Bruce Bowen ever has.

Duncan and Bowen leave the bench earlier in the game. Are they suspended? No.

The Spurs have a license to do whatver they want.

Even when they cheapshot a guy, they win the trade because Stern suspends the victims more than the perpetrators.

    WOW.

Hand them the trophy now and get it over with.

That's ridiculous, Horry is pretty much rewarded for throwing an elbow at Nash. 2 games without Horry is nothing compared to one game without both Amare and Diaw.
I don't see the Suns winning game 5 without Diaw and Amare. I was expecting to watch a great game 5 of a great series, I don't even know if I will watch it now.

What do you say about last year? If they had owned the league, Dirk wouldn't get that ridiculous bailout call in the last 5 seconds. Spurs might have swept the Heat.

Nash made it a bit more dramatic than it really was. IMO, the suspensions don't make any sense. This has been an amazing series and the NBA has to screw it up.

Clamping down on retaliation you stop escalation. Not my opinion just what I see as the general trend in sports.

You mean the play Manure clearly whacked Dirk on the arm?

If you want to blame someone for that, blame Manu for not letting that play go. He's 6 inches shorter than a guy and wants to stop a dunk attempt with his team up 3 with 15 seconds left.

    Stupid play.

How on Earth does that equate to the atrocities the Spurs are getting away with this offseason though? They have a player who's kicked a guy in the achilles and kneed a guy in the balls without getting suspended, yet they are going to win Game 5 because Amare left the bench by 5 feet or so in reaction to a dirty cheapshot by surprise surprise, another Spur.

The nba is a joke! They protect duncan and his dirty team, yet punish the suns for nothing. Suns need to send pat burke in next game to punch someone and get some spurs to leave the bench.

I think the worst decision was when the NBA decided not to review what was clearly a kick by Bowen to Stoudemire. I mean, are they just going to wait until somebody's season is ended?? Even Steve Kerr said that he gets away with these 'antics'.

Stupid thinking by Stoudemire and Diaw, but no way should they have rewarded the Suns for their cheap shot. And it was -- all he had to do was grab him at that moment.

i hate both teams, bowen more then any player in the league and i don't think he should even be in the league for all the potential injuries he causes, but THE RULE IS THE RULE, amare and diaw left the bench during an altercation, there was no altercation when duncan left the bench, amare went more then "5 feet" and only "retreated" because the coaches got to him.
Nash went WWE when he was sprawled on the floor, yet poped right up like nothing happened. All this talk that they should ignore the rule for the suns because its unfair is a freakin joke, its the suns fault for being idiots when the rule has been in place for more then a decade (a stupid rule but a rule none the less)

Well, the rule should be modified in the offseason. It was obviously intended to keep incidents from escalating because of players off the court getting involved. That's fine. But if the players never actually get involved in the altercation, what's the problem. By the letter of the law, if a player used the break in the action as an opportunity to go hit on the hot cheerleader on the end, he'd be in violation as well because he left the bench. If Stoudamire of Diaw had actually gotten into the scuffle then by all means suspend them. All this did is point out how stupid this rule is. It needs to be altered in the summer.

Why would Duncan leave the bench at all?

That was niggly play, definatley worth a foul, but it wasn't a kick. I'd compare it to standing in a queue and having a snotty prepubescent kid stepping down on the back of your shoe. Hell annoying but not dangerous.

it doesnt matter why duncan left players stand up and move around all the time, theres wasnt an altercation so it doesnt matter, amare and diaw clearly and without any doubt broke a rule which requires a maditory suspension, end of story, although the rule is stupid and should be changed

IMO there was little acting. His flying through the air/being put on his ass was legit. He gave a little wince/grimace and threw his hand above his hands above his head for a few seconds after he landed, but that was all. The body check sending Nash into the boards was real and that's enough.

Don't be ridiculous. Nash didn't embellish anything on that play. Totally dirty play by horry and his team gets rewarded for it! ****ing BS!

Horry is a classy guy ~ Nash must have said or done something we missed to get that reaction from him.

And yeah Nash flopped to make it look worse than it was -- Horry should get a one game suspension and that's it. Amare and Diaw should not be suspended at all IMO.
