I use to play on Partypoker.com alot but it seems now you can't use real money if you are in the US. Does anybody here us any other Poker site? How professional and safe is it? And also how do you transfer your money to these alternate sites?

the way the government is cracking down on US Players, i wouldn't even get involved with online poker. i've got over $1100 stuck in Neteller b/c they decided to "hold" the money until the legalities of the case are taken care of. just thinking about it makes me want to punch a mother****er.

I play very low stakes on Full Tilt Poker, I think it's probably the best option for US players right now. The other big one that still accepts US players is PokerStars, but I absolutely loathe the layout of their software. I am still playing because I play for such small amounts of money I wouldn't mind if the government seized it. It's more for entertainment -- If I can make a small profit, that's fine.

Curious why didn't you guys cash out when the law was passed or just before it was passed? You could always put it back later you know. :p

I've always used Full Tilt. I just like their software. There are still a few deposit options left. You have to go to the various sites and sign up for accounts (Epassporte or MyWebATM). The last time I deposited, however, I just did a direct cash transfer. It was super easy and quick. All I had to do was wire some money through Western Union, and I was playing an hour later. Write to cashier@fulltiltpoker.com for instructions on how to do so.

Full Tilt, Ultimate Bet, Pokerstars, and Bodog are what US players can use.

I'm on a Mac, so I can only use FTP for now. Good methods of transfers are player to player transfers or using epassporte.

Pokerstars is pretty much #1 in the USA right now.

It is very easy to deposit money on pokerstars

    1) Just sign up at poker stars
    2) Go to the deposit money section
    3) click on MONEYGRAM option, they will give you a couple numbers
    4) Go to a moneygram location, pretty much all walmarts and most check cashing places have one
    5) fill out small form with numbers you got from pokerstars, give walmart cash,
    6) 30 minutes later you have money in your account

For those of you that are fans of PokerStars, I have some questions question:

How the hell can you sit and look at their atrocious screen layout and how the hell can you deal with that slow software? I like the amount of action, but the software is a deal killer for me.

the new law did nothing to change the legality of playing online poker. it's still legal. stars, wpex, fulltitl and many other are still fine and safe to play. You'r money/play will be perfect fine at these places. Certain debit and credit card can are now allowed to deposit money onto sites, for ex. i can now deposit via my wellsfargo debit card to all sites. you can also you moneygram, western union, checks, wire transfer, and visa prepaid visa cards at most sites. Some sites like stars have other deposit options.

I agreed that PokerStars is the best, it's easy to deposit and cashout.

But I would play at Full tilt poker because of better bonus and rakeback.

There's no need to worry for players, the government is only going after those scamming sportsbooks, if you look at all those arrest, all of them are bad company that advertise heavily here in the states, and they're stiffs.

I also notice one thing, people are slowly getting back to online gambling after the bill has passed.

Pokerstars sometime has over 100K players online at the same time

I play on both Ultimate Bet and Pokerstars. There's more fish at Pokerstars, but I prefer Ultimate Bet's software. Usually play one table on each at the same time. Haven't had to cash out since the UIGEA went into effect because i've been trying to build up my bankroll, so I don't have any recent experience with that.
