I think Shaq employed his police education in making his decision. An actual, mature, statement from Shaq!

Phoenix showed me something tonight. This team is not just a team that pours in points but plays no defense any more. I think this is a legit contender now.

Whoever wins this series will win it all despite of the way Detroit's been playing.

Ignoring all the hoopla with the Robert Horry incident, I thought Phoenix really tightened up their defense there in the 4th quarter. Including when Duncan was there.

You just can't relax against this Suns team. I thought the Spurs relaxed for a brief 2 min stretch. A basket or two would've downed the Suns.

Hope to see more of that in the Game 5.

Also did anyone notice how Popovich did a good job of calling timeouts whenever the Suns tried to establish their run-n-gun tempo, but somehow they went away from this near the end of the ballgame?

Almost perfect execution by the Spurs until that last bit of the game. They must be frustrated as hell.

After the Ridiculous Offensive Fouls on Duncan
If they don't suspend Diaw and Stodemire
they might as well Crown the Suns Champions today

    Rocket River
either the rules apply . . or they don't
then again . . Flopping is rewarded so . .
I guess it is a pick 'em

Duncan was drawing double-teams. Pop kept him out too long and the Spurs offense went to pieces. IMO, if Duncan had play the last 5 minutes of the game, the Spurs would have held on. But the Suns still deserve major props for not giving up and fighting to the bitter end. They showed mental toughness.

Man, I missed all this crap! I fell asleep when SA was up by 8 with about 5 minutes left.

Why must the Western Conference games be pre-empted for the Eastern Conference games? Does anyone even care about the Eastern Conference? I sure as hell don't.

Eh, there will be some guys missing games, IMHO, which is a shame...Is it me or the refs sucking this year in the playoffs...Sucking is a harsh word, they're not consistent...

i hope Horry gets suspended the rest of the series. if only to make up for Bowen not being suspended. Play physical, not dirty. as much as i hate Amare, i'm glad he came out with those statements about the Spurs.

Come on Rocket River. The two teams getting away with the most are the Spurs and Jazz. Basically they are saying if you can't keep up with your man, hold, check, grab, and if that doesn't work, make injuring your opponent look like the course of play and hard to punish, except Bob Horry forgot the last part.

personally id rather the suns win it than the spurs mainly because they (spurs) tend to get away with things like kicking people from behind, kneeing'm in the sunless area, and elbows in the face. i thought only yao and deke could give those elbows :D

Some of the homerism that is being displayed for the Spurs in the last couple of pages in this thread is downright hilarious! Makes me wonder why some of you even bother to call yourselves Rockets fans. tinman stated perfectly why no fan of the Rockets would ever want the Spurs to win and add on that the Spurs have shown their true colors as a ridiculously dirty team.

I like Horry as much as anyone here, but let's call a spade a spade. What he did near the end of the game was simply uncalled for. Knowing Horry, he probably did it on purpose in hoping the league would suspend some Suns (mainly Stoudemire). If Bowen doesn't get suspended for his cheap shot on Nash's nads, then I can't see how the league would suspend Stoudemire and Diaw. Horry definitely gets suspended at least 1 game, hell the whole series since he was the clear instigator of all this. I would just hate to see the Spurs win like this - when the other team isn't at full strength because of a BS rule.

But I still can't get over the level of hate some of you have for the Suns. What has that team ever done to you? You act like that Nash, Stoudemire, Marion, etc. stole your girlfriend from you. Guess you guys don't like fast-paced, actual exciting basketball. Well thanks to a BS rule and Horry's thuggery, I guess y'all will get your wish - more boring basketball with the Spurs and the Jazz.
