Overall: FG%-38% (14-37) 3 PT%-50% (6-12) 2 PT%-32% (8-25) very strange In games of 5 or more shots: FG%-42% (11-26) 3 PT%-60% (6-10) 2 PT%-31% (5-16) Even stranger Granted, we're talking about 37 shots, but why can't Tmo make 2 pointers? Maybe because on threes he's been pretty much wide open.
Wow! I didn't notice it before. I just saw that TMo's FG% is not very good ... but his 3's rock BABY! Anyone?
Tmo may be missing his twos, but so are your 2PT alternatives: Dan Langhi (3gms) 25% FG% (4-16) 0% 3PT% (0-2) 29% 2PT%(4-14); or Walt Williams (3gms) 37% FG% (15-41) 40% 3PT% (6-15) 35% 2PT% (9-26); or, worse (haha, I know it's unfair) Glen Rice (1gm) 43% FG% (3-7) 67% 3PT% (2-3) 25% 2PT% (1-4) Don't expect THIS STIFF to hit anything inside 20 feet! Perspective Team: 42% FG% (204-486) 33% 3PT% (39-120) 45% 2PT% (165-366)
IMHO, TMo, you've pretty much summed it up already, he's been wide open on 3's, but honestly defended on 2's. Lack of strength, perhaps? But you expect rooks to struggle with their shooting, anyways. I for one have been EXTREMELY pleased with TMo, especially defensively and on the boards. He has nice form, a great stroke, and gets nice elevation on his shot, so I'm not worried at all about his shot, it'll come. Now if we can only get some good old Southern cuisine in his and Griffin's bodies so they put on a little meat on their bones,...
This may be the wrong thread but..................................... DAMN LANKY sucks.................
You forgot Oz who could easily play SF or SG. Oscar Torres (6gms) 45% FG% (18-40) 30% 3PT% (6-20) 60% 2PT% (12-20)
Very true BGM, Torres is doing very well from 2 point range, but his 3pt percentage leaves some to be desired After comparing the two statistically, they're very similar per game. Min / Off Reb / Tot Reb / Assits / Steals / Turnovers / Blocks / FT OT 24.3 / .8 / 4.5 / .5 / 1 / 1 / .2 / 5 - 10 (50%) TMo 25.6 / 1.3 / 4.2 / 1.3 / .5 / 1.5 / 1.2 / 9 - 10 (90%) The surprising things that stand out are Torres is rebounding better than I had thought. Morris gets the edge in Offensive boards though. Morris needs to tone down on his turnovers a bit. Free throw shooting is a distinct advantage towards Morris. While Torres is the more agressive offensive player, taking 11 more shots in less playing time.
