Turns out it is called Mortons Nueroma.....2nd shot today. Played Raquetball yesterday.....hopefully in 3 or 4 more shots my foot will be healed....or at least numb. DD
plantar fascitits. try this. take a tennis ball - and for 30 mins a day (easiest to do watching tv) sitting down roll the ball around under the base of your foot. it works.
If I were you, I'd consider seeing a reflexologist and/or an accupuncturist before you go a more invasive route. They certainly won't hurt you and they might actually help. Unlike shots, accupuncture doesn't hurt, so no worries about the needles. If that freaks you out though, try reflexology. There are no doubt a number of good one's in Austin. I've had great luck with both in the past.
Thanks Jeff ! But, I have already committed to him shrinking and basically killing the nerve with shots of what is essentially alcohol. Apparently it is about 90% effective and takes 5-8 total shots...... If the pain goes away, that is fine with me....he says it is just a nerve that has gotten too big because of too much wear and tear over the years (basketball, raquetball etc...etc..). It has gotten so bad that even playing golf after walking a while it burns....and that will JUST NOT DO ! DD
It is not planat fascitits, that is what we thought it was and why I got some inserts made a couple of years ago......turns out that it was misdiagnosed. DD
