this year the rookie all star game will be last year's rookies against this years rookies (2 teams of 8 players each)...the funny thing is mobley was talking about playing against frances in this game a couple of weeks ago...mobley was not chosen (nor was dickerson)...it's hard to argue with the 3 guards they chose - jason williams, paul pierce and mike bibby...

Hopefully this will serve as some inspiration for Mobley! Mobley hasn't had a great game in a while and he definetely is due.

    FYI,

If Vince makes the All-Star game, he won't be in the Rookie game.

los... where did you hear that? is that for sure?

for sure vince will make it, then i think they'll go with dickerson to replace him. so the only way mobes can make it is if jason makes it too, which he is kind of a long shot. kidd, kobe, and payton are pretty much locks to make the team. that means jason will have to beat out either one or two of these guys: stockton (just out of respect), brandon or van exel (they both average more points, assists, and better fg%), mercer or
smith (considering the team may already be point guard rich) heck, i'd even go with francis before putting williams out there... and not because i'm biased.

I'm surprised there are only 8 men per team. Of course, it is only going to be a 30 minute game (why not 48?), but I think the NBA does itself a disservice by not having more guys in it. I'd say at least 10 guys per team.

I wouldn't be surprised at all if White Chocolate made it. You are right about Kidd, Kobe & Payton being locks but I think Williams is the next choice (unless like you stated they choose not to have any more PGs).
