what days were you planning on being in vegas? you realize you can just go to a hotel like its a motel and ask for a room and expect it to be cheap. 38million people go to vegas every year. you got to book IN ADVANCE. I'm looking to book for august now. If you go during sun-thurs, you can get a cheap rate. however, fri-sat is 3x or 4x the price cause you have everyone going there. i know some good places for you guys, just let me know the actual days and i'll recommend a place.
i wish, half the time i wanted to strangle my friend. it's one of those things where he's cool to have drinks with for a couple of hours, but not too much fun around all the time.
Well, Fri and Sat would be travel days so we wouldnt need a hotel... We were looking at getting a hotel Sat evening through Wed evening.
u guys plan on staying the same room right? how much per person do u guys want to spend ? $100-150 per person for the hotel?
Yeah, 100-150 would be fine...leaning towards the lower end Actually, we were looking for 2 rooms .. 2 ppl in each.
sat-sun-mon-tue stays checkout weds right? here's the trick, you might want to swap hotels. saturday will be easily the most expensive night. so you might want to stay at a lower star hotel on saturday and then go get the better hotels for sun-tues. or you can do the reverse, stay an awesome hotel saturday (u can go to the clubs without the hotel guest line) and go to some really cheap places on the rest of the days.
That sounds good.. I was just now looking at the Stratosphere for Sun - Wed ... pretty cheap rates... Now Sat. is another story...Stratosphere is all booked...might just have to stay up all night...lol
man staying at the Stratosphere is a waste of time. Look, I consider myself a thrifty person as well, but this seems like you're trying to cut every corner on this vacation possible -- while making it less enjoyable. If you stay at Stratosphere, after spending half your trip driving to get to Vegas, you're going to be spending half your time in Vegas driving around getting to places if you stay at the Stratosphere. Do not be fooled by the fact that it is technically on the strip.
Try downtown for the weekend. You will probably find better rates there. Check out the Golden Nugget. They just completed a pretty big renovation over there. If you don't mind hangin' with a bunch of Hawaiians, check out the California Hotel...that's a favorite with my in-laws (who are from Hawaii). Otherwise, if you want decent hotels and can do with staying off The Strip, check out the Station Casinos (they're all over LV). Green Valley Ranch and Redrock are actually nicer than most of the Strip hotels. You might be able to get good deals at one of those. When my company has customers coming into to town, we usually book them over at The Luxor. It seems to have pretty decent rates for prime Strip rooms.
dude, no stratosphere! that place sux. I think this would be good for you guys. its 4 stars all the way. Sat - Luxor - $219 http://www.vegas.com/resorts/luxor/index.html Palms - for the rest http://www.vegas.com/resorts/palms/# Sun-$108.75 Mon-$88.75 Tues-$89.00 Total =$506 Total per person for trip (2 people) : $253.25 per night for each person: $63.31
Agreed, but unless you just want to see the country and have time...Road Trip...I'm in dire need of a vegas trip... I may have to date someone so I can take them...check that, date them for longer than a month...
Damn, Tinman. With your HDTV and home theatre set, I gotta wonder where you work or what drugs you sell.
