I just noticed I'm famous - and apparently for an apology that has not yet been issued from me to Clutch. Really, I feel the Rockets owe me an apology for the following: T-mac not driving to the hoop while in the penalty during the last four minutes of game 7. Yao for rebounding like his name is J. Howard. Battier for shooting like Rafer from three (or worse) up until the final game of the playoffs. JVG for not playing Deke more. our power forward situation - with all due respect to Chucky and with respect for what Howard did before he became old and tired at the end of the season. Our bench - or the empty spot on it where some helpful guys could be sitting. Rafer having to play 40 plus minutes a game against a physical team (and apart from pulling a Sura and fainting during game 7 I would say game 7 was probably his best game of the playoffs - meaning he wasn't the reason we lost that game). But apparently I also owe an apology. I'm sorry that I think Skip was our best option at point guard. I'm sorry I think Mike James is over-rated and an assh0le. I'm sorry I agree that Skip is better off coming off of the bench but that we didn't have any other options. I'm also sorry that I don't think Mike James would have made a difference. I'm terribly, terribly sorry that it looks like we will be able to pick Mike James up for cheap due to his terrible attitude and less than stellar play this season. I don't even remember what the trade kicker is but I suspect no-one is particularly thrilled about having it in the contract at this point. And most of all, I'm sorry that before the season started I bet my brother 400 bucks that the Rockets would make it out of the first round of the playoffs. It is comforting to know that this apology is excepted in advance as it takes quite a bit of the pressure away... All the best, Brock
BrockStapper got locked in a trunk by Clutch cuz Clutch thought Brock was trying to score with his niece at a tenage party. Now Clutch is making him say sorry.
huh? I have no idea what you're talking about. I think you owe me (and whoever else) an apology for confusing the hell out of me.
I gonna have to tell you, that I'm sure this "apology is excepted" by Clutch. Learn to spell next time. And place this in the correct forum. umkay. WE DON"T CARE!!! game over
Dude, why? Taking on Clutch? Love him or hate him, wTF? Seriously, you may disagree with him, fine, I personally worship the ground he walks on, but thats just me, you shouldn't take on members of the board just for the hell of it. This is all Glych's fault, when one stupid forum is started, 30 million spring from it. It's like the Kazaa of forums.
i like the original post of this thread. nothing but the truth. i always wondered why clutch hates rafer so much. did rafer reject an interview or something? i respect clutch but this rafer hate is a little bit strange to me.
I think it may have more to do with Rafer's 37% shooting percentage this season (not to mention his 33% during the playoffs) than him rejecting an interview. LOL.
I've never chimed in on either side of the Rafer issue, but I have to say something. May Rafer isn't a "terrible" player, but he certainly not a good player either. Throw out all the stats you want about his shooting, his turnovers, etc (good or bad), but I just can't see this team winning a championship with Rafer running the point unless we come up with a much, Much, MUCH better bench. Look at all the teams who have any realistic chance at winning a championship, and then note their PG: San Antonio: Tony Parker Phoenix: Steve Nash Dallas: Jason Terry (too late for this year) Detroit: Chauncey Billips Golden State: Barron Davis (and their chance is very slim) And I'm not saying that having a great PG makes you an immediate contender, but the only other teams that have a fighting chance that do not have a rock solid point guard are teams that have outstanding benches (like Utah, even though Deron is not bad). Anyway, just my $0.02.
