Guess you was watching FSN or R2K's clip? I was watching local broadcast (NBA-TV channel IIRC) here in HK, TNT production indeed. I am sure it was Fratello cause 1. They had his name on the screen at the beginning, and 2. The other commentator keep calling him Coach during the game.
I think he was a coach before, they showd his face few times, it was some old dude, he was barely breathing, but he praised Span like 10 times believe me, it wasn't fratello
Screw trading him! Let's try playing him first! <object width="425" height="350"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/XT7uOvKGvR8"></param><param name="wmode" value="transparent"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/XT7uOvKGvR8" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" wmode="transparent" width="425" height="350"></embed></object>
He brings a sense of toughness ala Hayes and Battier. Also, it seems like he could be a decent playmaker as well. He is not going to get better unless he gets in there and plays. There is no way he can be any worse than Bonzi was out there!
Oops another sighting of Green eggs and ham Sam I am. Even though I have him blocked he still gets through sometimes and I have to say he is very amusing even if he is an idiot.
"Tony Ronzone is by far the best International Scout in the NBA. His relationships with heads of federations, coaches and players in the international leagues are phenomenal. Tony is a celebrity wherever he goes. He had personal relationships with Yao Ming (who he coached in the Asian Olympic Games), Dirk Nowitzki, Mehmet Okur, Hidayet Turkoglu, Emanuel Ginobili, & Darko Milicic before they came to the US. Tony has got a great eye for talent and can see skills and abilities that haven't yet blossomed." - Chad Ford, ESPN.com
No idea But ive seen his relationship with those international players mentioned in quite a few places so i take there's some truth in it
It was Fratello. I live out of town so I had to watch TNT as well, I always wish I could listen to Worrell instead of the national bobbleheads. Fratello was impressed with VSpan's potential. But who isn't?
You should have heard Tom Nissalke gush over V-Span in the season finally in Utah....he was RAVING about V-Span...... People who really know basketball understand......some people are just slow on the uptake...... DD
LOL, and here's dadakota again, invoking the sacred name of a former coach in the NATIONAL BASKETBALL ASSOCIATION as backup to his evaluation - when he spends 99% of his posts explaining why he is smarter than all coaches/scouts/GM's ever, including his heros like Mike 'short bench" D'Antoni. You are the worst e-arguer ever.
lol...all the gushing was right on. Span was 1-7 from the field, had 4 turnovers and 6 personal fouls. I cant believe that JVG didnt play him in the playoffs. What was he thinking?
Everyone has a tough game shooting, how did he do at the foul line? Nisalke was talking about him relentlessly attacking the basket, you know, somthing this team lacks. 11-12 from the FT line, when has Rafer shot 10 FTs in a game? Rafer went ALL year and the most FTs he shot in a game was 8 And Sam, you just disagree with my opinion, therefore you dismiss it as a bad argument, I guess the same can be said of you, because I don't agree. Just face it, the one time we had a bet, I PWNED you...... DD
