Would you look to make a big splash to add a new flavor to the mix? The only thing I can see them doing is trying to move stackhouse. Just throw those guys back on the court for another year. It took those Pistons a few years to get it right.

Avery Johnson has already said he can't continue standing up 47 minutes a game and wants a PG he can trust to run their offense. I also imagine they want a post player with some offensive skills. My guess is the biggest name they consider moving is Jason Terry. I think they consider Shirk, Josh Howard and Devin Harris untouchable. Even though I think his tank is near "E", Stack will probably be back as a 6th or7th man. Despite some flashes, Stack showed his age a lot this year.

Why, they sign Bonzi and trade for Spanoulis, of course.

Dallas needs a pure PG, not a scoring guard like Terry. Terry might also be slowing down Devin Harris' development. Alston for Terry this offseason!

Make a big change by selling to a new and less emo owner.

LOL, I wish. Terry would have made us a 60 win team. He was not the problem in Dallas.

Yea, they do need a PG that can get the ball to Dirk in the right moment. You saw how exposed Dirk was when he tried to create for himself.

But if they do move Terry, they're gonna need somebody else to replace the scoring.

But hey, Dallas fans will tell you that letting Nash go to spen money on Dampier was the right choice because they had Devin Harris coming in, too...

My goodness would Jason Terry be a fit on the Rockets. The guy practically ruined my life 2 yrs ago in the playoffs. 3 point shooter. midrange, takes it to the hole, finishes, has attitude. I hate his guts, but i'd like to have him here.

They would already have one maybe two championships if they just kept Nash.

    How funny is that?

I have not heard any Mavs fans say that.

He peaked out in 04/05 and 05/06. Terry is on the downside now but he would be an upgrade at PG.

Agreed. Like Shirk would say, it's "obvious" letting Nash go was a huuuuuge mistake.

Downside as in not going to be a primary scorer and put up 20 ppg and merit all star consideration? Sure.

Downside as in able to hit open jump shots at a ridiculous clip - including a career high .434 from range, with decent assists & lo TO's? man I would take that every day and twice on sundays.

I've had plenty of Mavs fans tell me Dirk would not have developed like he has without being separated from Nash - Nash was a crutch (they also say Nash wouldn't have been as good without being separated from Dirk and put in the offense he is).
