It's been bounced around in other threads, (and if it already exists, Clutch do your magic) I want to know, in all likelihood, assuming all the players stay and Grundy leaves (seeing as how that is the prominent report as of late) is it possible to bring Steve back? Can we afford him? Would he fit? Where? How? Can we as the fans who want him back somehow reach out to him and beg him to come here instead of going to the Clippers with his sex god Cuttino Mobely? Every angle, Every Story, and the best way of getting this done. Maybe I'm crazy, but I can totally see Tmac, SF3 and Yao. Who's with me?!
Could we start a pool? Buyout Steve's contract pool? Clutch, you got anything in the tipjar you'd like to donate so we as the fans could buyout his contract?
yep..let's start a pool to buyout steve's contract, how about Yao, Cato's contract, we will start a new team,
how much does he have left in the tank? Assuming he's got 70% of what he used to, BRING HIM BACK!! We need someone who can break down the defense off the dribble... and who better than Francis?? What was once deemed a liability, will now be an asset (given the makeup of our new team). Not like he would be able to monopolize the game like he used to with his over dribbling. He knows this is Yao and TMAC's team...and he will be used as a role player. Albeit an important role player. BELIEVE ME, SF3 WILL BE BOUGHT OUT by Isiah. GET IT DONE!! This is my dream team next season: PG: Francis, Alston SG: TMac, Snyder SF: Grant Hill, Trevor Ariza PF: Tiago Splitter, Chuck Hayes C: Yao, Mutumbo, Greek Shaq Coach: Rick Adelman This team give us the size we need at the 2 and 3 spots, while providing additional athleticism. Championship here we come!!
a pg like steve, who can take it to the basket and divert attention from mac and yao, is exactly what we need. please bring him back and revitalize this rockets team!
Not going to happen. It doesn't even take Gator to do the calculations. The Rockets can't afford Steve. And his career has significantly declined since leaving Houston. I think it is his knees. Without his explosive athleticism, Francis is an ordinary player.
sign SF3.... he would love the opportunity to come back to Houston!! imagine Francis penetrating the paint (yea actually finishing in the paint, sorry alston) ....dishing out the ball...knockin down 3's... i think francis would be an excellant pick-up!! he can even come off the bench if yall are still ridin' Alston's nuts....
Financially, if the Knicks buy him out, alls going to be well. As far as him being ordinary, here are his stats from his last two months of the season. But, if you only like games where he's allowed to play (and make mistakes, i.e. games where he played more than 35 min) you'll notice that he hasn't done too bad. I think there are still some juice left. He just need a better situation than New York.
No thanks. Francis is washed up and couldn't get minutes on a bad orlando team last year and can't get minutes on a bad knicks team this year.
