    ... of the spotless mind.

i think it was my third time seeing tonight and i have to say it's more fun when you're tired or not sober. i dvr'ed it several days ago. anyhow, i finally understand it after seeing it for the third (i think) time. very good movie though i thought kate winslet could have been better. as a matter of fact, time warner has been showing this movie called "family stone" with claire danes in it recently. great actress and cute as a button ("my so called life" ruled). i think she would have been better in "eternal sunshine...". well... i think she could play the role and succeed in any movie. she would have ruled as spidey's honey in the third installment, tom's babe in mi:3, or what's his names gal in casino royale. she's just so bad ass.

watching "eternal sun..." i got into the music... scores... or whatever playing in the background. does anyone have this soundtrack? is it any good? seems like it would be. by far and beyond the soundtrack to "solaris" (george clooney movie) is my fav. shawshank remp soundtrack is a distant second. the soundtrack to "about a boy" was so so.

does anybody have any other good soundtracks that they recommend? songs/scores w/o words? good thinking/traveling/just here music?

Here's an awesome trick that does work with this movie. You don't even have to be blazed.

Buy El Cielo by the band Dredg.

Start the movie with the volume turned all the way down.

Exactly two seconds into Eternal Sunshine [during the Focus Features splash screen], start El Cielo.

    Enjoy.

Movies Andy Kaufman has a hand in are always a good trip. This is his best movie so far.

I think you mean Charlie Kaufman. Andy Kaufman was the comedian that Jim Carrey did a movie about.

I bought the soundtrack to Eternal Sunshine. Love it.

In particular, the track "Peer Pressure" gets me every time.

I thought Andy Kaufman faked his death?
