El Caballo had some trouble running the bases today.

And Luke Scott was goosing him all the way from 3B to home plate....Lee was safe, and Scott less than a nano second behind...was out.

Meh, Lee had to hold up at 2nd, was looking to tag & go 3 if Hamilton caught it. You're not going to tag from 1st in that situation, with where the ball was hit, and you're not going to get doubled off 1st if he catches it, so the runner on 1st can basically go to 2nd & wait to see what happens.

After the game, Scott said he felt like a RB following the pulling guard.

What about your man Burke? Oh wait, now Pence is your man, right? How about Buchholz and Astacio?

    (just kidding!)

I was just hoping Lee would run over the catcher in that situation.

seriously, this is baseball. both of them shoulda ran right through him. even if we got out, it woulda shown that we arent little schoolgirls that are afraid of getting physical.

To be fair.....I like Burke at 2B.......I have been all over Luke from his days at RR.

Pence, I don't really know that well but he has been tatooing the ball at RR and seems OK at Houston.

Bucholz - I liked his curve ball, and still like him better than Woody Williams

Astacio had wiked stuff, but his fastball was 94mph straight down the middle of the plate. I saw him dust off RR the other night as a reliever.

So, I only have a mancrush on Luke and think Burke can be our every day 2b as soon as Biggio gets 3k.
