Thanks Pruyen This is a great idea (every year), hopefully we will be able to see Yao's speed progress to a cheetah-like magnitude.
One more of these articles before I go to the airport..... An article from Zhang Yi of Sohu Sports, right after the Postseason Meeting May 7, covering remarks/comments from Yao Ming.
I am not barryxyz, but close enough. The translation about CD is accurate. The thing is, on some chinese bbs, people are questioning how many of the words are Yao's, and how many are put into his mouth by the reporter. Don't ask me, I have no idea. But I believe overall the report is accurate. I think JVG needs to go. The Rockets need a change.
I don't know where you got your doubt about Pryuen's translation. Comparing the original article and the translation, I can test that Pryuen's translation is pretty accurate. Pryuen didn't add anything of himself. As for the "sensatinal stuff", it's the style of original writer, not Pryuen's. Thanks Pryuen for the great work.
Yao Ming: 25.1 PPG, 10.3 RPG, 37.1 MPG I don't really know what more yall expect. Calling him soft is an excuse. BUT THE JAZZ GOT SOOOO MANY OFFENSIVE BOARDS!!!1112 WHY CAN'T YAO GROW A PAIR AND BOX OUT!!1 Hmm... the Jazz are a jump shooting team if you didn't notice, and when you miss jump shots, there are long rebounds! Carlos Boozer and Co. are obviously faster than big Yao in the paint... I mean would you like him to out run the other team even when he has good position? The Jazz did not miss in the paint, and that's a fact. When they did miss, it was up to the back court to get rebounds... which they didn't. And Yao is not a 37-40 minute guy. He was tired in the later streches... Every big man would be. So you can blame JVG for that if you want but this series was NOT YAO'S FAULT.
I hope everything pryuen posted was true from yao's own mouth. Because all these comments about JVG looks so familiar. You can read the exact same complains about JVG here on clutchfans.net daily. I dont know whether wang meng create the story based on what he read here or yao did read this bbs! Anyway, true or false, appreciate your works, pryuen!
Wow, what a read, seems like JVG is done, gone. I can't believe Yao really told it like it is. Winners inspire people just by their presence. Come to think of it, all our players never have any success in playoff, except Deke, we need to trade someone with a winner aura like Cassell.
Pryuen's translation is perfectly fine all the way. After I read the original link, word by word, there is nothing missing from the translation but I can FEEL Yao's disappointment and his determination to get better from his words. Is it confirmed, JVG is gone? If Yao said so.....
Thanks for the translation Pryuen Hmmm....I find Yao's comments very interesting.I wonder if he has always felt this way or if he is in a fustrated emotional state right now because of the heartbreaking loss? Alot of people here on clutchfans have been saying what he said all along and were accused of just trying to find something wrong with the team/coach, always citing the teams record. Do you guys still disagree? Can you see what they were trying to tell you all along? Also, Yao seems to think this team would be better with Mike James. Of course that is a matter of opinion, just cause he is a basketball player doesnt mean he is right, but I find it odd that the same people who would criticize the posters for "complaining" also do not want/see the value of what Mike James could bring to this team. ......... Man................ this sucks ..............
hey Pryuen...don't listen to the people who bash you on this site....they are losers who have nothing better to do....we all appreciate the work you put in and the updates you give us....it gives us better info. than what we get from the chornicle and TV here...keep up the good work
Thanks for the Article all I can say about it is. . . THIS IS WHY YAO IS OUR FRANCHISE PLAYER!! Rocket River
I find many things in this article interesting. So interesting and out of character for Yao, that I don't believe it to be true.
sf3, cat, and boki are yao's good friends. yao talked alot with snyder while sitting on the bench yao said vspan would be next nash so i am not surprised.
I think that has something to do with the timing of the interview. He was very emotional and less diplomatic right after the big loss.
