Rafer is good enough....considering his output/price tag.
an all star PG will cost us at least twice as much, if not more.....

I'd rather spend that money to add depth, get a tall/lean/shot blocking PF, get a young/decent C.
good PF and C are very expensive in this league.

i totally agree. i can't even bother to see any games anymore.. maybe the warriors tonight but i can't get this vile taste out of my mouth.

yao disappointed, after all the promise he showed. juwan and luther and our 'bench' was a joke. rafer actually played well (relatively) but we needed a playmaker in addition to a distributor.. the man can't make a layup to save his life, and all the hustle can't compensate for the lack of size at our PF position.

i don't begrudge t-mac. he did what he could, playing 5 on 1. yao was the biggest bust in this series and it would have been a little better if what i saw was a fluid product that came short -- instead, it was van gundy ugly ball.. tearing my fingernails out one by one until the very last second.

    this sucks.

and with all the personnel in place that fits his system and style, i don't see any near-term change in our success whatsoever. what a waste.

When he was in high school in 1986 he wrote an editorial for his school paper entitled:
"Bill Buckner: All the Red Sox Need at First Base!"

This was a team loss from JVG on down. I don't think any single Rox can take the blame for this one.

sure....go live in your fantasy land where there is no salary cap or wishing that Les Alexander wakes up one morning and decides to spend like Mark Cuban...

Every single person underperformed. If we just played our averages for the regular season, we would have won easily. The problem was not even our offense. Our "best defense in the league" was never to be found. When we couldn't shoot, we couldn't fall back on anything because we couldn't defend either.
