That was weird. Why is Hakeem not demanding to be alone? Why not whisper in his ear, private conversation?

the only advice Stockton gave Willians was to hike up his shorts a little bit...

Yao should stay here in the summer and attend Hakeem's camp. Yao needs to learn Hakeem's dream shake.

If Hakeem gave Yao that advice from a loudspeaker while juggling three grapefruits, hoola hooping, all while riding on top of a unicycle in a ballerina outfit, he can do that, he's Hakeem Olajuwon. He won two championships for us. When you bring home two trophies you can talk trash about Hakeem.

If you are Rudy T or Dream, you built the Rockets on sweat, tears, and championships. You are the Rockets.

Dream said it took him 10 years to get a Championship so to hang in there and keep on working. I thought it was a good talk, low key and reassuring. Exactly the kind of "stay humble, stay hungry" talk you would expect from a player who was not only a great player but a very noble person.

not true - we played with heart....a lot of it - we came back from 16 down - we played our hearts out.

I like the way Olajuwon said to Yao "We will work on moves in the Summer". I hope Yao does accept the offer and stays and works with THE DREAM.

That was a great gesture on Hakeem's part, however, I was waiting for Hakeem to say, " Next time, pass me the ball and we shall win!" :)

What is Hakeem supposed to teach Yao. Yao moves like a 3 legged dinosaur.

    Hakeem moved like a gazzelle.

You know what, I'm positive that he DID say that. Lets just hope Yao would take that offer instead of going back to China for the National Team.

Yao needs to go back playing to playing the style in his first 2 yrs under Rudy. He's not a 24-7 banger in which JVG had made him out to be. When he was with Rudy, he was more effective and freed the interior for guards to drive b/c he was out at 15ft half of the time taking chip shots or face the basket shooting which was usually money. His post and perimeter game should be 50/50, this will help spread the floor much better as opposed to being at the post all the time and also this will make it more unpridictable for opponent to guard.

so...you want hayes/juwan picking up the 10-15 rebounds yao got this season? because his rebounding and second chance opportunities are gonna dwindle if he's not in the paint.

he's not a good rebounder to begin with

Yao Ming has incredible touch, he should use it, but I'm afraid he has lost his feel for that shot by not practicing over the past 3 years

Yao needs to re-invent his offensive game including passing and 3-point shooting (you never know when you need a three, and if everyone on the floor can nail one, all the better). and just stick with blocking and rebounding, and steals in the passing lanes on the defensive side instead of chasing after perimeter players.
