Im not even sure how feasible these are, im sure you guys will tell me.

    http://sports.espn.go.com/nba/news/story?id=2654216

Im not surr how possible any of these are cap wise
But like ive said, if theres one thing ive always liked about teh rockets org, they make moves.

    (r) restricted
    (eto) early termination option
    (p) player option
    nothing=unrestricted

IN NO PARTICULAR ORDER (except top 4-minus hermann)

    1. Mike Bibby (eto)--no defense, but all those open looks, damn.

    2. Rashard Lewis--Would bring shooting and athleticism, and size, could play some PF.

    3. Walter Hermann (r)-if he could keep up what he did teh last month of the season, hed be great. Hustle, shootingm, heart, size.

    4. gerald wallace--wouldnt give us shooting, but would be a huge Atleticism upgrade.

    5. Stackhouse--not ideal for my tastes a lil old, but interesting to consider.

    6. Eduardo Najera --could eb a decent energy guy whos bigger than chuck hayes, and a slightly better scorer.

7 Antonip Mcdyess--would be a perfect pf for us if he could play the minutes, hed get mad open 20 footers, but i know he also loves Detroit

    8. Mikael Pietrus (r)--See Wallace, Gerald

    9. Matt Barnes--Good player, but i wouldnt want to overpay.

10 Luke Walton--would be a good IQ guy, but im afraid hed end up too passive. You cant have him and Shane on the court just camping on the line.

    11. Charlie Bell (R)--good combo guard who had a huge year--could help overall team IQ and bench

    12. Mo williams--same as above, more of a pg, but could guard quicker adn strong pgs.

    13. grant Hill--bariing injury, could be a great pickup..but this is grant hill.

    14. Kurt Thomas-- could play a similar role as Mcdyess....hes from Texas too./

    15< mike Finley-- See stackhouse

    16. Mo Pete-- Kind of a sleeper here, but could really benefit from open looks he gets with Yao and Mac.

The sad thing is most of those guys who could really help us are probably out of our price range. Bibby would be awesome. But he's most likely not terminating his contract since he wouldn't make the same money.

I've been a Gundy guy through and through but imagine getting Rick Adelman and Bibby in one offseason. Something tells me Adelman might be a great thing for Spanoulis too since passing is a huge asset in his offense but it's all such dreamcasting bull**** that I'm really not even enjoying my own damn imagination. This loss sucks.

i actually think that adleman would be good for this team.....
if they can find some way to get stackhouse to be here as the 6th man, i'd be happy too.

avery and cuban told the media (after being knocked out) that stackhouse is their no.1 priority in the off-season.

    I would go for 4,9,11,12.

5million will get those done except G.Wallace will demand 7-8million perhaps, which is OK with me. Paying a little Luxuary tax is better than quickly losing POs when your superstars are in their prime.

Most of those guys are going to make $10 million or more next season...

Several don't play a position we need a starter at...and how many will come to be a backup if they are younger players?

The rest are not a big enough upgrade to make a difference.

The guys that are affordable are going to be resigned by their teams.

Not many PGs in this league made $10m a year.

Neither of those guys is even partially more realistic....

Both will make more than $10 million next year...Rashard will probably make $15 mil +.

And they both play SF...so...Battier is a bench player? Doesn't help with the lack of PF, or PG or lack of 6th man scorer.

We can buy out some contracts to increase the caproom. Though it is not Les' nature to do that. :(

Salary isn't removed when buying out contracts, just the players.

One thing should be said... if Les wants a better team, he should consider going over the salary cap. Sometimes you have to buy your way out of a problem.

In that situation. Doesn't matter if we need to pay Lux tax. I know Les loves $$, but he will loss more if this team keeps losing in POs and Yao opts out as a free agent. Les will lose all his contracts and investment returns in China in a day.

???? Not sure where you get that....because its wrong...

    Nash $11.4 Mil
    Bibby $13.5 Million
Billups made $6.8 mil last season and will get $10 mil next season
    Kidd $19.7 Mill
    Marbury $20 Mil
    Francis $16 Mil
    B. Davis $16 Mil
    J. Terry $8.3 Mil
    Hinrich $11 Mil
    L Hughes $12 Mil
    J Tinsley $6.3 Mil
    S. Cassel 6.7 Mil
    D. Stoudamire $4.3 Mil
    D Wade $12 Mil
    T. Hudson or Marko Jarick $6 Mil each
    Andre Miller $9.3 Mil
    T. Parker $10.5 Mil
    TJ Ford $8 Mil
    G. Arenas $12 Mil

All the top playoff proven PG's will make ~ $10 mil

Our best bet is young unproven PG in the $2-4 Mil range....like say...Steve Blake? Chucky Atkins ($3-5 Mil)? Maurice Williams ($3-5 Mil)

Do you find any elite or playoff proven PGs on that list above? I'm not saying to buy Billups or Zero Agent, the best PG listed there is a guy named Mo Williams, who is not even an allstar. No way they will get a 10m/y contract anywhere in the league.
