Did JVG start this thread? Are you trying to get more money for your next gig with TNT? Let Steve Kerr talk offense and you stick to defense. God forbid you ever open your mouth when someone mentions bench play or developing a bench. And most of all, you should be hung in a public square if the subject of youth development ever comes up and you try to add inteligent conversation on the subject. Our bench development is in street clothes or raining in threes for New Jersey right now. if you had your way, you would wave Vspan for Charlie Ward tomorrow to know what your getting and try to save your job. Good luck on TNT and Good Riddance?

Why not? The "Red Rowdies" were as much (if not more) due to the Rockets organization, both financially and creatively as Mr. Van Gundy....

I will have a lot more respect for JVG if he steps down in disgrace.

I seriously doubt that JVG will "step down" though his departure will involve disgrace regardless of the circumstances. He's had TONS of talent on this team, from Steve Francis and Cuttino, et al, to TMAC and Yao (Both WC All Star starters for God's sake!!!), and now added Shane Battier.

As I've said many times, JVG should be coaching soccer, because then he can have games that end in 0-0 ties. That's JVG's idea of heaven.

I have ZERO empathy for a guy who won't give rookies a chance unless forced by injuries into doing so.

I have ZERO empathy for someone who did not have the good sense to take a timeout when you had a 5 pt lead and TMAC at the line just to give the team a chance to breath after coming back to claim the lead.

I have ZERO empathy for a guy who, after watching Deron Williams and Boozer speak briefly on the way up the court following TMAC's missed free throw at the 5.5 minute mark, did not understand right then that EVERY SINGLE SHOT WAS ABOUT TO BE TAKEN BY BOOZER!!!! Still, no double team help on the one guy who consistently torched us throughout the entire series!!!!

Zero empathy for not playing Novak and Kill Bill more in the regular season so they could contribute in the playoffs.

Zero empathy for not working harder to find a more suitable PG than Rafer Alston.

This list could be MUCH longer....

Bye Bye JVG. Don't let the door hit you in the ass on your way out!!!

Dear JVG, after boozer had been killing us the whole series why not a double team? and then in the crucial minutes you put yao back on boozer to pick up his fifth foul? holy f*&%*&$* hell you have to be sh*%&#)% me! I knew as soon as i saw yao guading him again what was going to happen.

Very nice analysis. I couldn't have said it better myself.

It's too bad really. JVG was the best thing to happen to this team this year. But his shortcomings have yet to allow us to flirt with a good run in the Western conference.

Though there's not much out there coaching wise I'd consider a huge upgrade.

I do appreciate Van Gundy. If it weren't for Van Gundy, we'd never have all those photoshoped pictures of him dressed as a gladiator ready to do battle or with the blowup doll or even as Smeagol from Lord of the Rings LOL

jVG you seem like a very nice person and a dedicated coach. I met you once downtown when you were being introduced to the press and I had great hopes for you and the Rockets. Unfortunately things haven't gone the way we all hoped it would and I can't see anyway to give you a repeat contract as it looks as though we need to have a fresh approach after four years. Your unwillingnes to develop Steve Novac in particular is troubling to me and also to the Rocket's shareholders and your non playing of V. span after we brought him over to develop as a NBA player is unpardonable. In your place we are going to rebuild the team with a young coach named Mario, he is a coach who will inspire greatnes from all of the team. So it's been an exciting experience having you here with our team and I wish you all the best in your new endeavour. Y

Well, it just seems like with all of Clutchfans melting down at the moment, it is time to pause and express our appreciation for Jeff Van Gundy's failed candidacy for Head Coach of the Rockets.

Thanks Jeff, for what might have been.
