It seemed like the inly time he scored this series was when he went to the beasket on a drive and the free throw line. His jumper thru out the series(just like in the regular season) got worst as the games went on. I mean he had some good looks too and still couldn't ge tthe shot to drop. Its the same thing that happen to Francis in Houston. Francis used to be a really good shooter at one time adn then his jumper gradually got worst and wrost every season, and the same thing is happening to TMac. Hopefully he fixes it over the summer, cuz if he had his jumpshot this series would've been over.
You should ask "WTF happened to Yao's mid range game" too. He had the perfect stoke in his Rookie year. Four years later, he is just an ordinary player outside of 7-8 feet of basket. I am pissed.
T-Mac's not shooting the ball well right now, but he was agressive, he attacks, he gave his best We should agree with ivanyy2000
What was his percentage for the whole series? Oh right, before this game, it was 38% Answer to the question? He's lost his elevation. Sure he's still jumping, but you go back to two years ago, Tracy's shot was good because he elevated and the shots were pretty much falling down a decline. It's like he was so high in the air while shooting, it was literally dropping in. Now, he doesn't or can't elevate as high anymore and his jumpers are now seriously flat.
Better question would be "what the #### happened to T-mac taking the Jazz to the basket at will and drawing fouls in the last 4 minutes if the game when the Rox were in the bonus?"
Look how hard he has to fight to go through screens and then all the hanchecking the Jazz got away with. That will wear your jumpshot down.
After he missed that wide open 3 midway through 4th he just lost his confidence completely. But for last 7+ minutes Utah in panelty, why did he shoot any jumper at all. And Head passed a couple shots too which makes Utah even more confident on their defense - miraculously, Yao played better in the 4th when no one wants to shoot the ball on the Rox team. I think Yao completely redeemed himself from the bad plays in the first half, but T-Mac just negated his good plays in the first half. It all evened out - the bottom line: Jazz is a better. I heard the new GM is a numbers guy - if htat's true T-Mac should be traded becasue his offensive efficiency is pretty bad.
