Now that the offseason has officially kicked off...

Let's me start off by saying: this is a SERIOUS thread, not a "venting" thread or whatever else you guys want to do. So serious proposals only, and it should be within the realm of possibility, not so garbage like, "Kobe for T-Mac" or "Wade/Lebron for T-Mac".

    So let me start...

    1) Tracy McGrady for Lamar Odom/Kwame Brown or Bynum and a first round pick.

I figure the Lakers would do it because Kobe would kills them if he got a whiff of it being proposed and team management not doing it. They were going to trade for Kidd for God's sake, T-Mac is better and makes similar money, and is YOUNGER. It would be Kobe/T-Mac, an experiment PJax can probably work with not unlike his Jordan/Pippen core. The Lakers would figure to do that trade, the Rockets would then have more players to fill out the roster with, have a playmaker in Odom at the three, Kwame/Bynum as a 4/backup 5, and they would get out from under Mac's contract and have players whose sole role is to defer to Yao and make life easier on him. Of course, we would then need to fill out the roster with other players/shooters to help Yao out, but there's always more work to do when you gut the team and rebuild.

How likely is this to happen? Not very, since the Lakers are in our conference. But from a pure 'return value' standpoint, I think this is a move that would work out for BOTH teams.

I don't think t-mac is going to be traded, makes too much money and you never get value for stars.

Odom is injury prone inconsistent pothead....

    Kwame is a stiff

Bynum is a center just like Yao

    That pick would low....

Why would you trade McGrady for garbage? At least get something good if you are going to do it and I don't think they should. We need to add to this team not blow it up.

I want TMAC, we just need a big rebounding/defensive PF and a stronger +better shooting PG.

Instead of trading McGrady, why don't we actually surround him with players that can actually create their own shot?

No thanks! I don't like Odom/Brown. And why Lakers need TMac when they already have Kobe?

TMAC + 1st rounders for Ray Allen + Lewis. Yao needs sharp shooters surrounding him.

JVG is the one who needs to go, not tmac, he took a few bad shots tonight, but he was great most of the game, tmac has a 7'6'' p***y and a bunch of 1 dimensional midgets and an awful coach. Need a new PG and PF and new coach who knows the meaning of the word "offense:

You T-Mac only fans are all the same. All want T-Mac to play in L.A. with Kobe. It's a shame, I wish all Rocket fans were more united instead of being such backstabbers

Personally, if we were to break up 111, I think it should be 11 that leaves because of the way the game is called.

Redd would be a good trade. How about CB4? Get T-Mac back to Toronto. I want Rox to succeed so much that I'm giving away my home team's franchise player:)
