that was in the WCF dont forget now and robinson did play well its just that Hakeem played like he was on another planet. Fast foward to Dirk who led his team to a great season but lost to an eigth seed (first time in a 7 game series) and outside of the last two minutes of game 5 did not play at an all-star level let alone MVP level.

and i still think the biggest joke of a reason why a person should be MVP is the whole "he is the best player on the best team" that doesn't mean jack squat. Dallas is compromised of several above average players who all play well with each other but i never felt that any one of them, including dirk was a "superstar" dirk is a good player but there is no reason for me to believe that howard wouldnt be putting up better numbers if more of the offense went through him instead of dirk. stackhouse as well was a better offensive player than dirk is now back when he was in philly and detroit. i fail to see how dirk makes the team go and the players around him better.

heck if i had to choose an MVP myself i would probably pick either kobe or nash.

I like nash very much (he is my ideal pg) but I dont think they will give it to him because like others have said he won last 2 seasons.

Dirk beat Nash last year but didn't get the MVP. I guess it's payback time. And as far as toughness goes, Dirk is not softer than Yao utill Game 6 against GS. Despite his choke job this year, I doubt any team would choose Yao over Dirk to build a franchise around.

No nash is the best. I would take him to build a team around over any player in the nba today.

Every team, but the mavs would choose Yao over dirk. Dirk is a choker and softer than tissue. Yao meanwhile is the only reason the rockets haven't been swept by the jazz right now. Tback really needs to step up today and back up his words. Yao has been carrying tback all series.

I'd choose Yao. He might not be very physical (coz he is an asian), but he has shown that he is mentally strong. At least, Yao has changed from taking jump shots to attaching the basketbal in the post. Meanwhile, Dirk relies heavily on his jump shots, which might not work very well when the opponent plays very physical on you.

God, forgive this guy for he doesn't know what he's talking. Show him some lightning on his way out of this house, or you can simply hit his house so he won't forget you.

    Amen.

I love Yao, but if you watched the series it's that if anything T-Mac was carrying Yao and the rest of the Rockets.

nash deserves 2 b the mvp instead of dirk
dirk had a pretty good season, but it wasn't spectacular and the mavs getting the best record isn't becos of dirk solely
nash on the other hand is the suns, i don't think they've actually won a game w/o him since they got him
