Good news guys according to my calculations we have a 50% more chance of winning against the Golden State Warriors than The Mavs....I said a long time ago that we can not pass the second round, I was thinking we will get the Mavs or Phoenix...anyways Warriors impressed everyone and will be hard to beat, but we have a bigger chance of beating them than any other team right now in the playoff brackett If we win against Utah, which should not be a problem IMO we will have to do this against the Warriors 1. Outrebound the midgets 2. Battier defend Jackson 3. Hayes, Alston and Battier protect Yao of getting the ball stripped away by Davis, Jackson or Barnes (unnecessary TO's) 4. Give some extra minutes to Snyder to defend against JRich 5. Yao and Mac need to step up, especially Mac since "its on him" 6. We need to hit open shots, especially Rafer, he could be key if he makes them 7. Rotate, Rotate, Rotate
I think we did a fair job on rebounding the ball but those costly TOs killed us. Jazz scored 13 on Yao's turnovers, the score was 94-82 Jazz... enough said.
Why the hell are we talking about GS. We haven't even beat Utah yet. Its not like we have dominated them at home. We won in the last minutes of game 5 and were seriously outworked in game 6. Lets take it one game at a time and see where we end up.
I am gonna play Devil's Advocate and say that the Warriors hot steak is not as good everyone think it is. GSW was 3-1 against the Mavs this year. GSW against the other western playoff teams 6 - 16, 2-2 against Houston (both loss were without T-Mac), 1-3 the Jazz, 1-3 against S.A., 1-3 The Suns, 0-4 the Los Angeles Kobes...i mean lakers, 1 - 3 Denver. GSW vs. S.A., the Spurs in 4, the Spurs are way too discipline to lose to a team like GSW and would not give up so easily as Dallas did. GSW vs. Suns, the Suns in 6, the average score in the series would be 125 - 124, both teams play almost no defense and poor rebounding would lead to lots of fastbreak pts. and 3s. GSW vs. Jazz, the Jazz in 6, the Jazz are also too discipline, too physical, and much better rebounding team than Dallas and they would not let GSW get so many easy opportunities. GSW vs. Rockets, the Rockets in 5, I actually think GSW don't match well with Houston, both games without T-Mac were played close while the games with T-Mac were pretty much blowouts. They can't throw small men on Yao for the whole series and Hayes and Howard are much better rebounders than anyone on the Warriors. GSW vs. Lakers, the Lakers in 5, the Lakers actually swept them season, they had no answer for Kobe and everyone else got involved too. GSW doesn't match up well with Lakers either.
I don't see us loosing in Houston, each of our guys plays better at home, we are more confident at home...
Funny how we can't get a rebound or two at the end and we lost. So, we can't rebound against anybody. No Warriors
