    what's frustrating to me is i'm a big baseball fan, and I don't know who i want to be their next manager. it seems to me dierker isn't the extent of the problem for a team where the players seem to largely control strategy.

    How about Terry Puhl. Somone who actually hit in the playoffs.

    That looks like a very good list of candidates. I voted for Willie Randolph for one primary reason: he comes from an organization with an <b>outstanding tradition</b> of baseball. The Astros need an infusion of that, I think.
