TMAC: "They are not going to keep me out of the paint"

Yeah, I like these quotes, too:

Yao said:

"My man is not going to get into the paint, no. Certain times in the game, yeah, if coach sends me to provide help defense on another guy."

Luther said:

"They are not going to stop me from getting my looks, no. Certain times in the game, yeah, they can stop me by not leaving me."

 

we'll see. Tmac likes to talk and usually he more talks than meats n potatoes..

 

Tmac quotes are pretty worthless, unfortunately.

 

All season?? He didnt do it for games 1-4 of this series

 

I have to say it doesn't mean much. The most important thing is to finish around the rim. Yes, Tracy still has a pretty quick first step and that is why Jazz won't be easily keeping him out of the paint. However, one can clearly see he is not the "high-flying-Mac" any more. He has difficulties to finish in the paint against the big and physical Jazz players. Given the way how the referees have blown the whistle, Tracy will not have that much success attacking the rim.

His job is to continue to be the play maker and control the flow of our game. Nobody wants to see the tracy of Game 4 tonite.

 

So far this year, he has backed up his quotes when we've needed it most.

 

Great... Utah seems to have lost motivation, but TMac comes back with one of his famous quotes and gives them some ammo.

 

Yeah...the fact they are facing elimination brings no motivation, but Tmac making an offhand comment is sure to ignite a war. Lost motivation? Right...

 

why is everyone saying "no" after a quote haha

 

For Tmac:
First, no matter what, even they lead us double digits, don't give up.
Second, when he drive the ball and pass the first one(picked by our players), they always send the second one D him very hard to force him can not drive into the paint(last game in 4th q, Tmac was really hard to drive into the paint), he need adjust for that, try to make them foul or drive back to different direction.

 

Utah has the best interior defense because they leave the perimeter and help the paint whenever someone attacks. T-Mac doesn't drive much because Derek Fisher is strong and can keep him out the paint, and if he does drive then AK will help. This is why T-Mac would also prefer AK to guard him instead of Fisher because he can out work AK.

 

so sad to see all the quotes from rox fans to tmac. maybe not a bad idea to trade him.

 

dont be fooled into thinkin the very vocal few speak for everyone.

the only fans I have heard even bringin the subject of trade are online ones,,,none of the people in RL I have talked to have even thought of thiking that.

 

Tmac's bark is much worse than his bite.

why does t-mac say dumb things like this to fire up the other team?

if they can't keep you out just show us in the game!!!

Like someone else mentioned, if the Jazz aren't motivated by being down 3-2, T-Mac saying he's going to the paint is hardly going to make them go berserk.
