    2. he went straight up and didnt make contact except when harris drove into him...happens to yao most of the time and refs say as long as his hands are straight up, its not a call.

    4. it was harris not howard. refs shouldn't assume...thats one of their huge problems...quick whistles

flagarant? are you kidding me? he did that because boozer didnt get the foul on yao at the end of our game 5. he wanted to make sure they called it.

i guess we'll just have to disagree here bro. but i think if the homer glasses came off you'd see it a little differently. and i say homer because its obvious you're not being objective at all if you think barne's foul on dirk deserved a flagrant. goodbye reason, hello insanity.

    NOooooooooooooooooo

The foul on Dirk from Barnes almost exactly reminds me, of the retaliation foul Sura did on Howard during the 05 series. Sura basically threw howard to the ground on that, where barnes just wrapped him up rather hard. If you want to talk about flagrant, how about the push in the back on Biedrins by Howard, no attempt on the ball what so ever, straight up 2 hand push in the back.

His left around comes around the front...you can't see it from that angle. Immediatley when it happend, I figured he was fouling to stop the clock. The announcers and the ref thought the same thing. I don't see the problem here. It happens all the time at the end of games. The player just has to touch another one and they call the foul, so that time will be stopped.

For all we know..Nellie had already informed the refs that they were wanting to foul immediately. The ref saw it...no one informed Mr. Mouth .. then he gets his 6th.

I have a gut feeling that the Warriors will blow the Mavs away at least by 20 tomorrow.

my feeling is Dallas win the series.

doubt Golden State's ability and experience to put them away. They really had their chance in Game 5, when that passed them by, i was sure that was it.

The Warriors will have mounting doubts coming in.

Golden State is pissed. I don't think Baron Davis will let his team lose.

    He didn't commit a foul.
I think a lot of people including myself, you, the ref and people watching assumed he was going there to foul, but he never actually fouled. It seemed like he was going there to foul, but he never did and the ref prematurely called it. It was an absolutely horrendous call.

i can't really blame the ref for that call. the ref was behind baron, so he couldn't see whether baron's left arm actuallycontacted j-ho or not. however he was able to tell that baron's left arm was across j-ho's body. on the nba.com highlights, from the normal camera angle, you can see for yourself that baron reaches across j-ho's body, then apparently retracts it before making contact. from where the ref was standing, it's reasonable for him to assume that since baron's arm is reaching across j-ho's body, he's making contact, even though he may not have. tough call.

this is such a big game tonight

Judging from postgame comments and on court demeanor I'm thinking that Dallas may be a little overconfident now that they brought it to 3-2, I dont think they will show up with the same intensity as last game, whereas Golden State is going to come out angry and motivated as hell.

Dallas played pretty much the perfect game in game 5, from both an intensity and execution standpoint and they still needed a miracle in the last 2 minutes.

    Golden State by 10+.

one thing in warriors' favor.. al harrington and monta ellis has not really produced yet.. if they can give at least half of their reg season production that will put gs over the top.. and gs can easily overcome a 20 pt deficti but mavs can't.. expect gs to run them early..

Baron was in danger of accidently mounting Howard with that foul.

    a. A player shall not hold, push, charge into, impede the progress of an oppo-nent by extending a hand, forearm, leg or knee or by bending the body into a posi-tion that is not normal. Contact that results in the re-routing of an opponent is a foul which must be called immediately.

you do realize that if refs followed the rules on a strictly textual basis, they'd be blowing the whistle every 3 seconds? the plain meaning of "contact that results in the re-routing of an opponent" would mean every time someone sets a pick and the player bumps him and has to move, then a foul must be called. that's obviously not the case. the practical definition of a foul extends beyond the text and refs exercise their discretion regarding what does or doesn't warrant a foul. 99% of the time, what baron did would not be a foul. he was leaning over howard, but didn't impede his progress in any significant way because howard just dribbled to the right and got away.

This series is OVER....Dallas got lucky at the end of game 5.....GS will be at home......no way they lose at home.

The Mavs will feel the pressure all night and choke in the 2nd half.

Famous last words. After their royal choke job in game 5, it's the Warriors who could likely fall apart. Any time Dallas goes on a big run, the game 5 memories will be there.

warriors were just caught celebrating too early.. they didn't really expect having a 9 point lead in the 4th qtr in dallas' homecourt.. then add to that they were surprised that bd was double teamed on top.. then later fouled out.. also last 2 minutes all calls/non calls were in dallas' favor

Like I said...how do you know that Nellie hadn't already informed the refs that if they were wanting to foul right away if Dallas was inbounding the ball. Happens all the time.

Come on guys, be realistic. Dallas will win this series still. I hate to say it, because I believe Dallas is the ******* of the universe, but they will win this series. Golden State will finally fizzle out. They had their chance the other night, and lack of discipline and clock management will be their downfall. I will be cheering my heart out tonight for them, but it wont happen. They have a bright future ahead of them.
