Yeah like others said its because GS is playing against the mavs, or you are going to tell me that Im rooting for Phoenix to beat the Lakers so if the WCF is rockets suns I will root for PHX?

when the games winding down, would you be suprised to see JVG switch McGrady on to Davis similar to what he did with Nash? the only reason I wouldn't look to that matchup all game is to keep TMac out of foul trouble...
yea man, i'm with you. i've been following the Rockets the last 20 years. when they won the titles in 94 and 95, it was one of the best moments of my life. but this year is different. since the GS Warriors play such great basketball and we're so boring, i'd rather have the Warriors win it out. even against us. come the 2nd round, i really, truly hope the Warriors will sweep the Rockets and go on to win the NBA championship, just b/c they're not boring. i mean, who wants to see their own team win it in boring fashion when they can watch an exciting and non-emotional attached team win it instead? NOT I!
I have no problem cheering on Golden State should they take out the Rockets in round 2. I would have a MAJOR problem cheering for Dallas or Utah if Houston was out. I would probably be indifferent if Rockets/Warriors were eliminated in round 3 and not watch the Finals...
I think that will be a huge problem. If he takes one dribble the ball is going the other way for a fast break layup.
Hey hey now...it's bad karma to talk about the second round before you get there. Both teams have not secured a secound round berth yet... Neither us nor the Warriors... Let's not worry about that until it gets there. I'm scared for the Warriors sake though, they have a hell of a lot of pressure right now to win game 6, being it the last home game of the series and their closeout game... I want to see the Mavs lose...in 5 would have been total domination, yet the refs would not let it be so. I want to see Cuban's face when his 67 win team is knocked out in the first round...

Totally agree! But to answer the question. I went to CAL and Nellie was coaching the Tim Hardaway and Chris Mullins Warriors and have always had a soft spot for the team. That said I'm a Rocket through and through. IF we play them I am going to be rooting for the Rockets with all my heart. GO ROX!

AGREED. i hate GS, but its not cuz i dont like their players, its cuz i live in the bay area and the fans have given me soooooooooooo much **** about how great the warriors are cuz theyre up against the mavs and how the rox suck becuase we cant even beat the jazz. if your a rockets fan, dont even think about cheering for the warriors.
a lack of passion? it may seem that way sometimes, but esp. when Mac walks off the court before the half time buzzer. but i dont think the problem is lack of passion, just an inordinate ability to go cold for long stretches offensively.
