Apparently, Jason Richardson got into a fight with someone in the stands after the game and the league is looking into it. Mavs officials are saying that there's a chance that Richardson gets suspended.

according to ESPN Radio, local Dallas radio and TV broadcasts.

    from ESPN forums:

ESPN radio: Dave Shore reports from the locker room that Richardson got into a fight with a fan and pushed him.

I am posting this without a "hard" link because we may end up playing them in the second round......provided we take care of the jass and the mavs continue to choke.
Feel free to close thread later if not credible.

If he gets suspended, the Warriors just gave them the series. As much as Davis is the clutch player on their team, they run a too-short of a rotation to have anyone taken out of the game like this.

Ejections in Game 2. Another ejection in Game 5. And now this. As fun as the Warriors are to watch, they sure aren't bright.

Most people heard of it 9from other forum), but without any source ........I wouldn't make a thread on it just yet.

And it seem most people might be exaggerating on this issue.

If true, it doesn't put the Warriors out of the series by any means. They're going home and they have plenty of guys that could step in and pick up the slack. Monta Ellis and Al Harrington have both been pretty damn sucky so far, so one or either of them could step up and make the difference. Pietrus didn't play well tonight either and they almost pulled the game out anyway.

If there's anything the Warriors aren't short on it's heart and firepower.

Rumor has it after the game was over...he walked across the court to the second row and pushed a fan down. The fan has filed a complaint to the league. All this is speculation but if it did happened he is gone for the series if not the playoffs.

IF it's just a push that dumb fan is lucky that's all that happened.

    just a little fyi

since you are new, you probably dont realize that Clutch doesnt normally react favorably about posting rumors off other boards, which you do here.

They claim that ESPN radio said it, but if that was true dont you think one of our many members who also listen might have heard it and already backed it up?

more often than not, things reported as rumors phrased like that from other boards turn out false.

It's all good, man. You didn't do it maliciously, you thought you had a legit scoop. Just don't make a habit of it, and you'll be cool.

On a side note, IF there is truth to this, then that's the dumbest thing I've ever heard. Why would you jeopardize the series to go after a freaking DALLAS FAN.....who the hell CARES what they say? These are the same morons who were chanting "YOU SUCK" when Baron Davis was shooting FTs.....no guys, Baron doesn't suck....I know it's hard to comprehend that when you've been watching a choker like Dirk for the last 5 years.

And, I am REALLY hoping the league does something about that ****** Jason Terry.....slamming Baron Davis down like that....he's the one that NEEDS to get suspended...for a long time. First sucker punching Finley in the nuts last year, now this? The guy's a first-class prick. But obviously, nothing will be done, because he plays for Dallas.

It doesn't seem realible, and the wording seem like they are only "guessing"

anyway unless its from a realiable source such as espn or any other major sports site I wouldn't really call it a source.

I suspect that Richardson ended up in the crowd somehow (maybe after getting hacked on the no-call) and was perhaps being restrained or impeded in some way by a rowdy crowd, and so shoved someone off of him so he could get back onto the court. At least, that's what I'm hoping for (rather than an unprovoked incident).

I thought about adding a disclaimer that my post was not intended as malicious, just letting the new members know the existing taboo against posting unconfirmed rumors from other boards.

Some do end up as scoops, but the odds arent normally with you on that.

    more on topic,

This is the reason that GS just isnt ready for prime time, they may be able to scare a higher seed, but they have stability issues with their guys and refs.(see games 2 and 5)

Tho, Im kinda surprised its Richardson and not Jackson(this time).

If a fan can effect a series by tussling with a player that would set a bad precident.

That's a crock... if he really fell into the sidelines and pushed off to stand up there is no way they should do anything about it.

You don't like it, sit in the nosebleeds.
