i dont, j-rich is a big part of this series and i dont think GSW have enough weapons to beat mavs without him.

No, I have LP and have been watching them play the past 3 weeks when they went 9-1 to finish the season. That's when I knew we were in trouble. I just figured come playoff time those same shots wouldn't go down. I was wrong.

It was BECAUSE they stopped moving and BECAUSE they slowed it down. That's why they lost. Not because of 'free ball'. In fact, they moved away from what got them the 9 point lead in the first place. That's why they lost.

They had a brain fart on offense and defense.

Just got back from the game dont worry Im 100% rocketfan. Im just stuck in Dallas and I'm simply not going to turn down free tickets.....I remained emotionless throughout the game...(even wore my random oakland a's hat from highschool)

A few observations one is that GS works together in a odd way. Ive never see teammates argue amongst each other so much and still be effective. Barnes and Davis were each other faces atleast 3 times Im not sure if the cameras ever caught it...

Two is that Dallas fans are no better than Rocket fans despite from what I read on this board. I was sitting in the lower level . They were quiet and a decent # of fans left the lower level when GS went up by like 8 or so late in the 4th. Than when Dallas went up and basically had the game in hand more left....

three- Houston woman are better hands down...

And my prediction is GS closes this out in game 6. I dont really think Dallas can any better than they did tonight and GS was still there with them until the end.

Well I also can't see GS hitting 60% from the 3 point line again...after jacking up over 20 3's in the game. Thats what kept them in the game. I realize that's their game most the time...but the rate that they were making those 3's was crazy tonight.

This is why I want to play Golden State instead of Dallas (if we get past Utah....which we will). They are more athletic than Dallas but as it showed tonight....they're are pretty dumb team. I think with our defense, I can see Golden State launching some pretty stupid shots against us.

You can slow it down on GS and feed Yao allnight long. GS won't be near the problem for Houston as it is for Dallas right now.

I can't see them blowing like 10 layups like they did in the first quarter either. Everything will balance out. They can't stay hot from the 3 forever but they surely can finish around the basket better than they did.

It's funny because everytime they take an ill advise 3 and misses it, I don't seem to get frustrated. I just think "Hey this is how they win or lose" and wait for the next 3 to go in. The Rockets on the other hand...

Golden State tried the traditional "You're up a good amount with not too much time left on the clock so slow it down" strategy most teams would have used. The problem is, that is not how they play. They stagnated their offense by trying to run down the shot clock and then they got stuck in it. They don't have one person other than Baron Davis who they can throw the ball to, clear out, and have that guy work magic when the shot clock dwindles down.

Baron Davis was doubled, the ball was out of his hands, and the team melt down. Simple as that. If they kept the offense moving, i'm 100% sure they would have won the game and the series.

It's a huge blow to the confidence to not be able to close out a game you held that tight in your grasp, but at the same time, Nelson is a great coach for not getting down in the dumps. It's probably hurting right now, but if the Warriors have any chance to win the series, they have to play strong at home in Oracle. It's probably their last shot to win.

I'm still suprised they had a chance like that to win game 5 in Dallas, I didn't think it was possible.

The same can be said for Dallas in Game 1 & Game 3. They missed more layups that I can even count..yet they were still in both games til the end. Dallas has yet to play to their full potential. Yeah, tonight in the first half they had it going...there are nights where they can do that allnight long.

The truth is, GS has it shots falling all series long (and I mean some crazy shots that go in from everywhere). Dallas except for tonight hasn't shot worth a crap. If they have an average night and GS plays average...Dallas will win.

If Dallas can get back to playing with some heart again...they'll win this series...and we'll see a heck of a matchup in Round 2. (that would be the Rockets...because you'll close out the Jazz Thursday.)

I don't know about you but I don't mind facing Golden State in the 2nd Round. I have no problems whatsoever with big hurdles being taken down for the Rockets on their way to the title. (i.e. 1994)

Hahahhaha. So who would win in a fight: Baron Davis or Jason Terry?

Have you seen Baron's mouth?? The man would bite Terry's fist off as soon as it came close to his beard.

Oh yeah...guilty as charged as being a Mavs fan. :D

   MOTHER F&#^ER

On Sportscenter, Kiki Vandeweghe openly quoted Rudy T and used the phrase "Never underestimate the heart of a champion" to describe the Mavs tonight. This is downright blasphemy!

I disagree that the Mavs missed as many or more layups in games 1 and 3 than GS did tonight. I think GS definitely missed more layups tonight or at least in the first half.

Crazy shots that go in seem to be the norm for GS in the last 20 games. It's not just happening now, those horrible shots are actually good shots for them. Dallas has been playing with heart and they've been losing. They're fortunate to have won tonight.
