Its as simple as this. He wins round 1, he comes back, he loses round 1 he is gone. I don't think anyone is thinking differently
Musselman is a poor coach and already shows the nervous strain that killed his father. If he wants to enjoy life he should stay away from coaching basketball.
Phil Jackson's philosophy is that every player has their own individual skills and it's the coachs' job to recognise this and make them feel like they have something to contribute to the team. In this sense, it's good for team chemistry and inspires effort x 10 on the court.
Have you noticed it seems that under Gundy ball no Rocket now is playing for the love of the game, only for professionalism? They are like methodical robots going through motions. Yao is reduced to bump, bump fire a jumpshot, T-Mac just throws up shots hoping it goes in, wow, that's our bread and butter play. Where is teamwork on offense? Why there is no two man game between our two superstars? Nobody likes to play ugly ball or watch ugly ball. If your wifey is an all world ugly woman, I bet ya get depressed sooner or later.
Well , on a 72 win team he had scrubs like Dickey Simpkins, Jud Buechler, Jason Caffey , Wennington contributing! Look at where they went after Jordan retired.
if we don't make it past the Jazz, I believe JVG will lose his job and I will not complain if that does happen.
JVG should never blame his players, it is all on him, he should not say anything like: I don't know, if you don't know, who knows?? Golded State is a huge example due to a good coach.

even funnier is that Phil Jackson's last five years look like this: lost Semifinals, Lost NBA Finals, quit, first round exit, first round exit
I just saw GS beat Dallas again with Nellie doing another great coaching job. He's flexible and always looks to exploit matchups, whereas we have no diversity in our offense and stick with the same philosophy (and players) NO MATTER WHAT (i.e. zero freakin bench points but we run the same crap out there over and over). JVG is aboslutley solid, but I agree he's too regimented to get the max out of this group.
I can't wait to see JVG pack up and leave for NYC. He wants the Knicks job anyway, and I agree with those who question whether he actually enjoys the game of Basketball. He certainly has no love for the offensive end of the court. Why have players who can shoot when you can go for a 0-0 tie like in soccer? Jeff is clueless about the "flow" of a game and how to achieve it. Nellie understood the new rules about not "touching" players on the perimeter, and now has 5 guys on the floor who can all handle the ball and flat out shoot the Rock!!! The Rockets have two or three guys who can shoot but only one who can actually handle the rock AND shoot, and that's TMAC. The others (including our pathetic PG) all require someone else to set them up to get a shot off!!! Bye Bye JVG, Hello Rick Adelman and hello WCF in 08!!!
Did you see Nellie's post match interview? JVG should listen to it. He was saying how he was giving opportunities to Harrington and Ellis, despite their bad play. He said he only goes with things that work, but takes the chances to try things. That's what makes him a great coach, he tries things, and doesn't only go for the sure thing.
