I am going to Athens in a few weeks and wanted to get recommendations on what to do, where to go out, and which areas are good to stay in. I would prefer to stay in an area that is convenient to get aorund the city and has nightlife, although I am pretty sure all of Athens has that.
Has anyone been on or heard anything about the EasyCruises? Same company as EasyJet I believe, basically a floating hotel room We are planning to take that around to the various Greek Islands.
I went to Athens about 8 years ago and enjoyed the Parthenon and some of the other ancient Greek sites very much, but did not care for the modern day city at all. Everything outside Athens is great, especially the islands. We stayed on an island called Angistri, which is about a 45 minute boat ride from Athens. Angisti and the other islands around it are very beautiful.
