check out this tmac..... http://www.easports.com/replay/media.jsp?game=nbalive07&mediaID=nbalive07_101
But if T-Mac really had the desire, he'd take the ball to the basket every time and "impose his will on the game" as he is so fond of saying.
let me see...as recently as game 1? Frankly I'm dissapointed with Tracy "its all on me" McGrady and Yao wussing out at the wrong time, but I think our game strategy is hurting us a whole lot more. If I were building a championship team, I'd still like these two. The coach? eh...not so much
This is the best team T-Mac ever has. Our bench is pretty weak. But not too many perimeter superstars get to play with a big man as good as Yao. He has no excuse anymore.
Well a few weeks back he was being aggresive and imposing his will on the game am I right? He is just out here shooting jumpers like it's a play ground now and bricking.I can't be as hard on yao he just need to cut turnovers, but I notice he is grabbing alot of rebounds that he usually would have not grabbed in the reg season. ITS not the fact of him playing bad...He dosn't look like he is trying hard.Nothing is just going to come easy you have to gho out there and bust your ass and maybe good things will start happening
Thank God your post was big, because I'm nearsighted and I wouldn't have seen your post had you not blown it up..
Holy crap, if you are going to have a 96-point post like that, at least spellcheck. There's nothing worse than incorrect deranged internet-yelling. Van Gundy already called out TMac before the beginning of the series. McGrady knows that the rest of this series will define his legacy as a basketball player. If he continues to play the way he has, I'm sure the Rockets will see what we can get in return for TMac this offseason.
I hope the Rockets lose the series just so TMac can see why he never deserved to get out of the first round.
"He doesnt look like he's trying" you've got to be kidding me. what do you want...a couple of backflips? or a kobe type heave with several defenders on him? God knows his wierd jumpshots are bad enough. and i'm not sure how you managed to give Yao a pass. what game are you watching?
yao was drafted here. tmac isn't. tmac is like duncan doesn't show a lot of emotion. doesn't mean he's not trying. tmac is just not aggressive and shooting well. plus the fact that the damn role players can't make a shot allow the jazz to keep doing what they do -- trap tmac off pick and roll, now slowly straight up doubling him off the post or send AK47 to him right when he picks up his dribble... well, yao gets single coverage and looks like a sissy.
too many bricks before he find his shots, it is not enough for us to win. Looks like(maybe actually not) lazy legs on the court. Yao's TOs. Others shot percentage. Benchs Jvgs lack hands to do more O plans. Maybe we should start Deke and let Yao as our 6th man than Tmac can really on HIM.
maybe role players need to make shots before our stars, esp. tmac, have space to do their thing? tmac literally has no good spacing to do his thing.
So which is it? You said he's trying and in the next sentence said he's not aggressive. Sorry, but our superstar can't shoot 6-18 from the field and only get to the line 6 times. That means he's not trying. Hell, he even quit on defense last night. At least he always seemed to try on that end of the floor.
he can't be aggressive if his teammates keep bricking shots and the defense focuses more on tmac the more shots his teammates missed. as u saw, as the game progresses in game 5, more defensive attention was put on tmac. slowly they started to straight up double teaming him w/ fisher and ak47. its hard to be aggressive when no one can open up lanes. not even yao b/c no one is doubling yao. they want yao to keep shooting i guess.
If ,with 5 seconds left for the period and TMac slowly walk the ball over midcourt then casually toss the ball to sharp shooter Chuck Hayes as "TRYING",then for sure he is trying HARD! I might add trying REAL HARD!
in my opinion, if we lose this round the only player/coach which should have a guranteed spot on the team should be yao and maybe just maybe t-mac.
Why Tmac uses a screen everytime!! Why Tmac uses a screen everytime!! Every single play, Tmac uses a pick and especially in this series, it's really a bad idea because they Jazz are trapping him. I used to think they ran that pick to get an open shot or picknroll, but I think Tmac needs it because he does not able to create his own shot of his own dribble. Tmac does not trust his ballhandling ability, and I think it is being exposed. I also think that's why he is taking more jumpshots. Tmac has never been a good ballhandler, and when he was younger all he used was speed and a quick first step to get by his defender. Now that he has lost that step, he needs a pick to get by his defender, what a loser
halftime of nj and toronto game, barkley just stated that vince carter and t-mac are one of the most talented players in the league when attacking the rim but both are very notorious at bailing the defense by shooting too many jump shots. I know barkley hates on the rox more than not but i would have too fully agree with him on this one.......having said that t-mac get your head out of your @$$ and play some ball....it is truly on you no excuses
