funny how a few weeks back tmac was God. Somehow he lost all his skills since then Simple fact is no player in this league can beat a double team from top of the key to the paint consistently, or even 50% of the time (unless you are dwade with refs on your side). Your teamates have to be dangerous enough to make the defense pay almost everytime they cheat. Yao in the only real threat off the pick even though he's slower. Its up to JVG to find a new scheme to utilize his player's strenghts. Is that too much to ask for?
TMAC is just one tep slow now. i dont think any PnR work for him. YAO is slow slow. Maybe Amare is better on this
We may still win this series, but as fans, how can you not be disappointed with the way tmac has played? Where is that passion he showed during the 04-05 playoffs? Where is the passion that he showed during the game with Phoenix? What is more frightening to me is that he always seems to take his play down a notch when teams get physical. This trend has occurred since his series with Pistons.
When was that? Was it in the playoffs against quality competition? The only game I can think of all year where the Rockets responded in a pressure situation was the last Phoenix game, and the Suns really had nothing to play for. DD
Because why be a troll and ruin the mood when we're on a roll. Now it's obvious that Tmac has lost a bit. He's slower. So what? You nobody can deny this if you watch him play a bit. Sure he can erupt once in a while to take over games.. but the truth is, he's not that 05 Tmac we saw (in terms of an offensive monster). Yao ming has always been slow.. I mean, he's 7'5 for goodness sake! I don't know why people are pointing it out as if he was once Amare or something.
I'm a loyal Rocket fan and have been for 20 yrs. i love tmac and yao and our team in general right now and i am in no way going to bad mouth any of them BUT if i was an insider to the team i would definitely say something to T-mac about his lack of aggression in this entire series. Let’s face facts, the rockets won the first two games because our D was on and we had a balanced scoring effort (and the jazz just stunk from the field). T-mac was still settling for the jump shot but our role players were hitting shots. T-mac must go to the hole consistently, this is the playoffs dangit! We have seen him do this in waves all year only settling for jumpers when he knows he has to rest a bit, I thought he was resting for the playoffs. Yao on the other had is awesome, but imagine how awesome he would be if he dunked instead of blowing lay-ups. no joke, he has missed an average of 3 lay-ups a game the past several weeks when he could have easily slammed the ball home - i just don't get this and if i was gundy i would be all up in his face when this happens. I’m sure he (yao) is his own worst critic but if these 2 things would happen i think our team would be elite and not just a "maybe" team for the playoff/2nd round run. Im frustrated like a lot of you, I don’t think we need another coach, or trade t-mac/yao, or anything dumb like that – I just want our guys to fix a few glaring issues and stop making my evenings/mornings after the game so miserable. just my 2 cents, that all its worth... ONE MORE THING FOR ALL US ON THE BOARD… It could be worse, we could be Mavs fans right now… OUCH!!!!
You were fooled You were fooled When you thought I was going to come out and average 30 for the first 4 games; you were fooled. When you thought I was gonna bring out those game changing dunks over Utah's big men, you were fooled. When you finally thought I was gonna get past the first round, you were fooled. But you are not a fool are you? On a serious note, T-mac's just messing around. Just watch what he does these next three games( goin 7). Joke will be on Utah (haha i hope).
This is what Tmac needs to do at the end of game 5. <object width="425" height="350"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/xy0JYd8Utg4"></param><param name="wmode" value="transparent"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/xy0JYd8Utg4" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" wmode="transparent" width="425" height="350"></embed></object>
Dear Tracy McGrady, We are the Rocket fans that came to Toyota Center for the press conference welcoming you to our Rockets Team. You were suitably impressed with the welcome. We are here now- we support you. We want you to succeed. This is your home now. Come out and show you have no fear of this Jazz team. Leave it on the floor my friend- this is a war! The Jazz players Boozer and Fisher laughed at the Rockets while backpedaling. They will not laugh after Game 5. This is your most improtant game as a Rocket. When we win game 5- IMHO we win this series. This is your team-this is your city. Take us to greater heights. You can do it. We believe in you here. Go Tracy-Go Rockets Signed Houston Rockets fan
If Tmac was ever going to pick a game to go off, this should be it. Come on Tracy, your team needs you more then ever, we still believe.
Game FIVE is a must win. I remember during the Mavs series two years ago they mentioned during a broadcast after the Mavs tied the series that the percentages for winning the series favored the team that won game five.
Me Mac is not Jesus of Rockets. He is simply a softy loser. I really doubt that he will pass the first round (I am really sorry and sad as a rocket fan when I think about it).
Come on! Don't call upon on a loser. TMac is a LOSER. I will be extremely happy that he can prove me wrong in the next 2 or 3 matchups.
T-Mac is all talent, no heart. Or at least not enough heart to succeed in the playoffs where nothing is easy and you can't rely just on pure talent anymore, you have to dig deep. For some reason, he just doesn't quite have the desire. Say what you want about the Jazz style of play, and believe me, I hate them as much as any of us, but right now they have that desire and we don't. And because, by his own admission, it's on T-Mac, we have no other choice but put the blame on him and question his character. It's like Q-Rich says, if you get physical with T-Mac, he backs down. Well look no further for why he has never made it past round one. That's what the playoffs are all about.
T-Mac never made it past the first round because his teams were inept. This guy averaged 30/8/7 on 45% shooting in the postseason. He was always the best player on the court in all of his series'. Now we're just seeing him rapidly decline.
