Okay, I'm trying to find out how much Kenny scored tonight and I'm getting all sorts of different results.

    TV

Bill says KT scores 25 during the broadcast, a new preseason high for KT.

Some guy on Fox Sports Southwest says he scored 25 when recaping the Rockets game.

    Internet

    ESPN

CORVALLIS, Ore. (AP) -- The Houston Rockets still aren't shooting the ball well, but Kenny Thomas took advantage of another dismal fourth quarter by the Portland Trail Blazers.

Thomas scored 10 of his 18 points in the period, and Steve Francis added 18 points as Houston rallied from a 13-point third-quarter deficit to beat the Blazers 81-77 in a preseason game Monday night.

Thomas, who shot 35 percent in his first three games, scored six points during a late 8-0 run to help the Rockets (2-2) pull away from a 73-all tie in the final three minutes.

KT Leads Rockets to 81-77 Win Over Portland
Kenny Thomas was simply the man down the stretch, tearing Shawn Kemp up, as the Rocket forward scored 24 points to lead the Rockets to the 81-77 come-from-behind win over Portland.

Houston Chronicle this one is REALLY FUNNY

The Rockets also got well, rallying for an 81-77 win. Steve Francis and Kenny Thomas led the Rockets with 18 points each, with Thomas keying a fourth-quarter rally, scoring 16 of his 17 points in the second half -- 10 in the fourth quarter.

This is so strange I'll give you the link to it:

    Chronicle

And I'm sure if I kept looking I'd find even more examples.

What's going on, and where can I find a box score???

Kenny's just so quick they can't keep up with him.

Ok, no, that's not really true.

I got my numbers from Bill Worrell.... he went nuts after Kenny made his second to last bucket, saying he had 22 points.... then later said he had 24 when it was over. So I had 24....

    Clutch,

I heard the same thing you did, that's why I was so confused. After looking at the box score I finally have the answer. I was wondering where all of KT's points came from when I heard on the TV that he had 22, but I was chatting at the same time, so I just blew it off that I wasn't paying full attention to what was going on. It just seems really strange that Bill would be off by that much, but they were complaining about the stats people early in the broadcast, saying something that they are used to the college game or something like that. I think Fox Sports made the same mistake by going with what Bill said instead of looking it up or double checking. The Chronicle though made the worst mistake in my eyes, by contradicting themselves in the same sentence! Maybe my apology letter to them was sent too soon.

Okay, I wanted to post this much sooner, but I couldn't find a place to put the picture. I wasn't too pleased about that once sentence in the Chronicle online, then I looked at the paper in the morning, and in the box next to it they had yet another different score for KT. How can you make so many errors in such a small place?

Give 'em a break man, it's preseason.

Anyways theres more important things to be concerend about right now. Try not to concern yourself with statistical typos and devote your energy to the more meaningful questions that life is putting before us, like....

... for instance, what about Moochie, is he going fro-less all year?

Or Mobes....is he watching scarface and godfather so much that he really thinks hes a young gun with many clips?

What about Lisa Malosky, do you think shes improved on her halftime reporting?

Also whats up with K-9 Thomas pumping his fist with emotion during the 4 quarter of that Portland game, is he getting some junkyard dog in him?

LOL, devote my energy to typos? Isn't a newspaper a place to look up facts? The total # of points KT scored is a fact, and the fact they had three different numbers for him is more than a typo. Take a look at my posts lately, I'm all over the place. I just thought this was really poor editing, and quite humorous. I mean, three mistakes in one square inch of each other, all involving the point total of Kenny T (and 1 mistake for Steve), when they had enough time to write three articles about Jordan. I just want to keep the Chronicle on their toes and increase/improve their Rockets coverage.

As far as your other topics...

... for instance, what about Moochie, is he going fro-less all year?

I think we may see a resurgence of the fro by the end of the season. If Mooch goes through a slump he may go to the fro to get himself out of it. (Mooch, "I just need to be me")

Or Mobes....is he watching scarface and godfather so much that he really thinks hes a young gun with many clips?

LOL, I think Mobes may be a bit of a black hole his first few games back since all he can think about is shooting. I guess he got the Godfather DVD collection, which I heard is supposed to be pretty good.

What about Lisa Malosky, do you think shes improved on her halftime reporting?

If she ever calls Kelvin Cato Kelvin instead of Calvin it will be a start. The pregnancy jokes may be funny for the next two weeks or so, but we might not see her for a month. (Luckily after the pregnancy jokes from Murph get old)

Also whats up with K-9 Thomas pumping his fist with emotion during the 4 quarter of that Portland game, is he getting some junkyard dog in him?

KT showing heart is a great thing. I used to think of him an emotionless work horse, but I like to see someone with fight. If KT can have half the heart of Mario Elie, it could be a great season for him.

    Any other questions Rockettebustier? :)

    Thats all for now. :)

Man, i didn't know Lisa Malosky was pregnant.

K-9 is looking good I agree. You know, whats really working for Kenny is that Rudys running all Mo Taylors old plays for him. The only diffrence is Kenny is beating his man off the dribble from the outside instead of popping the long jumper like MO. Pretty nifty move by Rudy, imo.
