It is concerning, but, at the same time nobody else seemed to even want the ball.

Yeah I mean if you want your team to perform better, you have to do better yourself first! Talking is useless espeically when your sucking too (and get paid a hell lot more). It would be like you trying to convine someone not to smoke while your smoke a pack a day.

His comments before and during the series are hurting the team's psyche and helping the Jazz.

That's why I loved the "Be humble and hungry" approach.

I just caught this on the FSN reairing. T-Mac flat out quit on that play. 5 seconds is more than enough time to take it coast-to-coast. At the very least you can get a decent look at a 3-pointer going into the half.

Instead he dribbled the ball in the backcourt for a couple seconds before handing it off to Chuck who was forced to heave it at the buzzer. This play coupled with the ending to the 3rd quarter pretty much summed up the game. The Rockets played with no poise or determination.

Either they expected the Jazz to roll over after getting down 0-2 or they think they don't need to try on the road since they have the home court to fall back on. Either approach is a recipe for disaster if these guys aren't careful.

I think t-mac is going through one of his depression phases where he just seems like he doesnt care about anything. If he played like he played against phoenix.. attacking...then his teammates would step up.

This series is going 7 with the last game being a tossup. If we continue this play, then we dont deserve the respect we thought we deserved. This team hasn't played to its potential.

Wait, so he didn't do his job and didn't show up in Game 1 and Game 2? Let me guess, you're completely judging his performance on his FG%. Forget the fact that he's the anchor of the offense. Forget the ball distribution, forget the rebounding, forget the defense, and forget the assists. Lets completely judge him based on how well he shot the ball.
I swear, you guys are like the freaking media. It was one damn interview, and T-Mac overreacted and said something that wasn't exactly accurate. JVG also refuted what T-Mac said. It's not ALL on him. T-Mac knows that. If he didn't, he definitely found that out in Game 3 when a grand total of 4 Rockets, including himself, registered a point in the box score.

Speaking of overreacting, that's pretty much how y'all responded to the interview. It's just like how the Astros' forum is overreacting to what Berkman said about calling up Hunter Pence.

T-Mac and Berkman were trying to show leadership vocally. The problem is, they will spit out things in the heat of the moment and then have those words bite them in the ass. They were just trying to be leaders! They know that you really show leadership by performing well on the court/field.

You want to know what T-Mac really thinks?

    IT TAKES FIVE

It isn't about the FG% (no idea where you get that from  ). It's the fact that he isn't driving more to the basket when his shot isn't falling, and shooting WAY too much jumper.

TBH, I think he realize his problem but there is simply nothing he can do. We all know he is no longer the same T-mac the once dominated the game. In fact practically everyone no longer see him as a top 10 player in the NBA.

T mac is a good player, but doing stuff like that kinda shows me mentally it's something wrong as far as taking the next step.

I was shocked he didn't even try to push forward and take a buzzer beater.

Fine, then say that. I'm tired hearing this stupid BS about T-Mac quitting, not showing up, not being a leader, etc...

this and the fact that his shot isn't pure. he uses his left thumb. so when he goes into the 5 feet area, he can just pump and shoot a soft shot. he has very bad touch.

you can see this from his lay-ups and his inability to contort his body with control and still put up a carefully estimated shot.

he's a rhythm player, and sometimes, i wish he was more like kobe. maybe that's why he passes so much.
