I agree with you but remember it has been JVG who has not developed this team playing the BIG mans Game. Of course it is difficult to develop anything with one tall player and a bunch of smalls and a couple of medium size players.
I have always said if we have Yao Ming then play the big mans game and surround him with a great team of tall athhletic shooters . Les has failed to see this and we have been lucky enough to have played relatively to our maximum potential in the season and make the playoffs. I was hoping for more but this series has shown that we were all fooled into expecting so much! So once again we need to rethink what we are trying to acheive and develop our team accordingly. No more win now senario. It takes about three -four years to build a championship team and gain experience. Les I hope you will have a new mind set after all this is over and start afresh with your new Manager.

This brand of basketball just isn't what the NBA is anymoore. The 90s era is over and the game is returning back to what it used to be.

The Spurs are the closest decent team in style to us and even they don't play nearly as slow and methodical as we do. We have no semblance of an offense because our coach basically chooses to ignore that side of the floor.

Two actual backetball players and a bunch of jump shooting "specialists" just ain't gonna comprise an actual winning basketball TEAM in this day and age, at least not in the playoffs. I'd actually like to see what Rick Adleman could do with Yao and Tracy (of course, this assumes that he keeps and utilizes guys like Bonzi, Nachbar, Snyder, Span, etc.).

Our defense did not look so tough tonite when we really needed it

I'm not dogging Van Gundy - so JVG zealots -do not hyperventilate- I'm calling out the players-we needed to want to win more than Utah did tonite-we should have slugged it out on defense-played really tough and gave our offense a chance to gel tonite

We stayed on our heels the whole nite

If we have another first round exit, I don't think jvg will be the coach next year.

Everyone says JVG is good in playoff and he know the team better than us.
But it's apparently wrong. He has nothing special in playoff.
He has ruined snyder and span's season.

I third that, and I defend him all the time.

No 2nd round, he should be let go. Find someone else to inspire our big 2

I agree, if the Rockets get to the 2nd round, he probably deserves an extension, but if the team continues to play lackluster ball and JVG can not inspire them or get them to play harder during crucial times, then he must go.

If we can't get through the first round JVG definetly needs to go.
No offensive adjustments so far this series. We are fortunate to be tied 2-2

I actually think JVG should go EVEN if we luck into the 2nd round. At this point, this team is playing lousy, doesn't play defense and can't shot.

Yet, the coach hasn't shaken thinks up at all. The 3pt shot should be outlawed at this point unless it's wide open. (even then, it's a crap shot). There couldn't be a more wide open shot for Alston in the 2nd quarter. They must drive to the basket more, get to the line or make a layup.

I think VSpan needs to get a lot more playing time eventhough he hasn't played much at all. But since it's JVG, it's not going to happen.

So to make this team better, we simply need another coach. Who's better, don't know yet but we need more. JVG doesn't have it.

JVG needa a vacation. His brother is doing well out of the league. He should join him and relax.

Fire JVG? No, he is the best, so you can find any better coach in NBA. And last time I checked, he is the coach of the year. oooops, wait a minute ...

Why exactly? Because he didn't play your baby V-Span? We're just not good enough offensively. It's a personnel problem. That's JVG's fault? Our drafts have been mediocre. Our FA signings have been mediocre.

JVG's defense is what won us 50+ games. That's even more remarkable when you consider the injuries of our stars.

The clueless JVG haters are out again.

I say if we can't get out of 1st round you gotta ax Van Gundy. He is simply getting out coached by Sloan in this series. You got 2 superstars in Tracy and Yao and can't come up with a plan to beat the Jazz. That it gonna cut it.I say we start up the Bring Rudy T back petition. Yao enjoyed playing for Rudy T the first year and think he is a great players coach and could get T-mac in the right mood. But I still believe this team can get by jazz and just hope Van Gundy can adjust his gameplan cuase obviously the Jazz have.

The NBA is changing, JVG is not. I will say it again, JVG's team can not go far.

What lowly expectations. I hear Larry Brown is available. I hear Rick Adelman is too. Stan Van Gundy anyone? Please , this team deserves better.

All I want is progress, I have said I don't think the team is good enough as it stands to win it all this year, which is why I wanted V-Span to be playing NOW and not later.....find out if he is going to be a part of the future.....and if not, get rid of him.

    Larry Brown - HELL No
    Rick Adleman - Yes please
SVG - Uh, not on your life

I would not mind a young upcomming coach who is a bit more creative on offense......but for now.....we are riding the good ship JVG.....let's hope our captain looks out for icebergs.
