T-mac son, you make 63M over the next three years. That is 21M/year on average and roughly 1/3 of the salary cap. You know better than anyone that our supporting cast is absolutely atrocious. So unless money means more to you than winning, please take the damn pay cut so that we can have more cap room to improve the talent level. Otherwise, you are going to be playing with stinky Luther Head and Rafer Alston for the rest of your career!
Juan, you have been one of the highest player in the league, and you are still earning more than a MLE salary while can't even make a wide open 20' jumper that made you all the money. If the Rockets organization means more than a source of pension to you, please take a pay cut.
Once again T-mac, I beg you and Juan to take a pay cut. Unless you do that, all you are going to see is the prime of the career of Yao and yours going away with one heart-breaking playoffs loss after another with absolutely no chance of getting even close to a shot at the championship! Face it, you are over-paid!

Players cannot take pay cuts. This isn't the NFL.

Can you believe that we could have traded Juwan to the Wolves and unloaded his contract, but JVG said no because he wanted to preserve "chemistry"?

to be fair kleiza is contributing as much as jho so it wouldn't have made much of a difference at the 4.

juan sucks  Because of our bench players, this team won't go too far in playoffs. Hopefully they can pull it off and advance to the second round. I can't see JVG as a coach next season. His game is unwatchable

Before you say anything else, I think you should know that his name is JUWAN Howard.

I believe you can re-work the contract, if both sides agree to it.

I can't edit my own post. If someone can, please do it, if you can be bothered.

rockets should bite the bullet in the offseason and buy out juwan. he offers this team next to nothing and he certainly isn't worth a quarter of what he's being paid.

unfortunately, he's a JVG kind guy and this is unlikely to happen. I'm sure he's a nice guy, but our 4 spot is absolutely deficient. chuck hayes brings energy and hustle but his lack of skill is killing us offensively.

I watch basketball and I understand the need for chemsitry and "intangibles", but there's also something to be said for the "tangible" part of the game too.

You guys completely overlooked the hidden message.

    jpsamhyz is a genius.

Why is there a "w" missing?

    "w" stands for winner.

You got to earn the alphabet "w" on the court Juan!!!

This aint no Wheels of Fortune!

no, they can't except for buyouts, but buyouts still suck for both parties, especially for the teams. players get less money, teams are still stuck with salary that they can't offload.

Juan is getting paid way too much. I think Minimum wage is acceptable for mowing lawns at the Toyota Center.
