My man, do you now understand why I wanted the GSW to play the Mavs instead of the Clippers? Believe me, it wasn't easy because I do love Sam I Am and Cat and like the Clippers in general. However, as I've been saying for years now, besides the Rockets I ALWAYS root for a better matchup.

Nothing against the Clippers, and hope you're enjoying this wonderful exhibition the Warriors are putting on for all NBA fans and Dallas haters around the world. :)

He and ClipsRoxfan are the only two here that wanted to see the boring lifeless Clippers in the playoffs.

If it was another team besides the Warriors, I would've rooted for the Clippers as well. Alas, they just don't match up and would've been swept aside by the Mavs.

I just wanted the Warriors because I knew they would give Dallas one heck of a hard time. Hopefully, tinman can see why now...

    tiger,
as a fan of clutchcity. it was sad to see the clips lose out. however, they couldnt do anything because of injuries. If it were a 100% healthy squad with Cuttino/Sam/Livingston and Elton Brand didn't exhaust his energy with team usa, they would have made some noise.

I still want revenge against the Mavs, but if they lose to GS then they would have that choker label on them.

Well, At least Sam beat Kenny in the studio shootout on inside the nba. That's what we get when the Clips dont make it.

But you know where Im coming from, the more Clutchcity 1/2 wins, the more history looks upon those championships as a team with a MVP and great emotional, smart, clutch shooting players!
Mario, Sam, Robert. The legends were made in CLUTCHCITY.

    go Clips 2008!

You're the only one I've seen that has ever said "IBTL" to their own thread :)

Clips would have been toasted 0-3 by now.

I can get behind that.

Oh, and I don't think we needed to see Sam I Am beat Kenny in a shooting competition to know beyond a shadow of doubt that:

Sam I Am >>>>>>>>>>>>> Kenny Smith.

a healthy clippers squad was one stupid 8 second call away from the WCF last year.

I believe in Sam (a healthy one). I believe in Robert. I believe if someone left Horry open on the last play of the game in a playoff game, he would hit the game winner. I believe Sam (healthy) could school ANY POINT GUARD in the League.

    Sam taught Steve Nash.

Inside the NBA " Steve asked me, How do I pass better? I says put the ball in da hole!"

You want a healthy revisionist Clips squad. I'm using the current, FUBAR'd squad. Of course a healthy Clippers squad would have given the Mavs a run for their money. But reality is that Sam is banged up, Kaman mailed in his career after his extension, and Dunleavy decides to play mind games with his best swingman. That Clippers team that juuust missed the playoffs would not have done well at all versus the Mavericks.

I'm not going to root for the Clippers just because they got some former Rox on their team, even though I'm a big fan of Cat and Sam, I could give a damn about the Clippers.

    Cuck the Flippers!

    Not some former Rox..

Some Former Rox = James Posey or Stromile Swift

Sam = Original member of CLUTCHCITY
the rookie PG who hit the game winning 3 vs the Knicks in game 3 of the NBA Finals. No hesistation. A hero from the very start. A PG that we could never replace. We thought Stevie was better than Sam. Wrong.

Ok, we get it, you want Sam's love child.

All the same still, I don't give a flying eff about the Clippers and they got what they deserve, and they belong where they're at right now (lottery).

the clips got they deserved. true.

i guess I still root for clutchcity players because without them, this board would not exist and people can take for granted what Sam Cassell has done.

some people think clutchcity rockets were heroes. i guess some people dont think they are on this board, obviously.

While I love Sam and Cat, I could give a flying **** that they didn't make the playoffs. The Clippers team would have bent over and taken it from behind from the Mavs. They're banged up, it would have been 4-0.

Warriors may not win the series, but they're taking it to the Mavs. Nelson is outcoaching Avery, and showing Cuban what a huge mistake he made.

Believe me, I would still splooge my pants if Sam came on the team even as a reserve, but if his current team is not the Rockets, and his team stands no shot at winning any games...then they can stay out of the playoffs.

Some people want teams in the playoffs just for nostalgia's sake. i guess some people don't like better matchups on this board, obviously.
