and to top it off, the Mavs really have no veteran leader than can step up and help out and maybe even hype em up a bit .... thats what they had in Finley. They are playing like some scared little girls. Never underestimate your opponent.

Is he the softest 7-footer in the history of the NBA?

All signs point to "yes". Just a complete and utter wussy. Start pushing him around and he disappears.

It's too bad that Nellie knows which hand Dirk uses to pee.

Josh Howard, Jason Terry, or Jerry Stackhouse need to step up and take over the team. Their "leader" isnt much of one. Watching the game in the first half, it seemed when they needed a play to keep pace with the warriors, they went to Howard.

Dirk had 20 points, but half of those seemed to come from the FT line shooting "penalty situation" free throws.

Avery Johnson used to be the guy who showed leadership on the court but I guess its a little harder to do from the sidelines.

This is why I can't stand him. He is the biggest b**** in the NBA! And you can't really put Bradley and others in the same category as this guy b/c Dirk is actually talented. As much as I hate this guy (and believe me, I would stand and laugh at him if he was on the flooring on fire!), you can't deny that the guy is very skilled. On top of that, he is a 7-footer that can put the ball on the floor. And what does he do, he stand like a little b**** at the top of the arc tossing 3-pointers. I know this is the "new" NBA and all, but I was raised watching Hakeem, Robinson, Ewing, Shaq, and Mutumbo! I want the 7-footer on my team to take smaller and weaker players and punish them down-low. It seems like as soon as he gets touched, he crawls into his shell and hides. Can't stand that and his f--n' flops!

I just hate this guy, and the second wish I have on this year's playoff list after the Rockets winning it all is the Mavs getting knocked out of the first round. Imagine the anger on Cuban's face when he realized that his team won 60+ games only to be knocked out in the first round! Oh the joys that will bring to my life!

he's the best 7 foot shoot guard of around....
he can't play defense, he has no low post game, and he's excellent at throwing his hands up and acting like he deserves calls.
    i can't stand him....

Yup, and don't hesitate to add Yao to that list. If they lose this series, they will join Dirk Nowitzki as the three biggest chokers in modern history. And believe me, it would be well-earned.

I never thought I would see the day where I would put Yao/McGrady in the same class as Dirk...but they're earning it right now.

All I know is they better find a way to beat the Jazz or they're dead to me, as far as I care.

I woudnt go *that* far, but I will certainly be very disappointed in them...they would have to go above and beyond next year to regain the level of respect that I had for them until the last two games.

thing is, realistically, Dirk has alot more help than T&Y, yet is doing less with it.

    my dream scenario:

the Mavs get knocked out in the first round, but Dirk wins the MVP.
