The warriors embarrassed the mavs last night. The mavs looked totally lost... The warriors looked like the suns except they play incredible defence.

If the warriors win the series, I'm not sure we can beat them. They play with more hustle and passion than I've ever seen. All of their starting 5 can drive to the hole or hit their jumpshots. They move the ball up court very quickly and sometimes score so fast the camera can't keep up. (kinda like the suns)

    can we beat them???

If Warriors can keep this up, Rox have no chance. They don't have answer for small ball.

    Oh hell yes they do....

The Warriors play perfectly for the Rockets......pack the paint on defense make them beat you over the top and then on offense POUND them inside and HAMMER them on the glass.

The classic bigs vs smalls game.

It would be an awesome matchup....let's hope it comes to pass.

i don't know how well the rockets match up, even with yao. everyone writes off the loss without tmac saying tmac would destroy the warriors for all the defensive attention they throw at yao, but i'm not so sure that'll be the case if tmac continues to shy away from attacking the rim.

that said, i am in love with the warriors and have been since don nelson took over. the man is a genius and it's awesome to see that he's reminding people of that. i just hope that GMs and owners out there are taking notice of the warriors. with any luck, we'll be entering a new era of basketball, abrogating the tired conventional thinking that you need a dominant big man to go anywhere, that you have to play slow to play good defense. the warriors are high-octane on offense AND defense, and for that reason they are more dangerous than the suns. i love yao and his game can be beautiful at times, but what we're seeing with the warriors is transcendent. i love the controlled chaos, the loose triggers, the absolute lack of fear or tension, infectious camaraderie that stems from a carefree coach and genuine desire to see each other succeed. the rockets will probably keep this controlled offense for as long as we have yao and it'll be the right thing to do for now, but i hope when the rockets go through their next rebuilding phase, we start building like the warriors. skill players, not specialists. just guys that can ball. it'll be sweet.
