Last game, when Yao played in the low post, he got 8 turnovers and more than 2 blocked shots. Yao is a very good outside shooter, you can't play him as a Shaq. This is so stupid, I don't understand. Is it so difficult to let your shooter take some easy shots?

If you take Yao outside, it's not like Okur is going to sag off on him. Okur will continue to body him up no matter where he is. If Yao is farther away from the basket, then the better, because what is Yao gonna do, drive past Okur? Yao doesnt have the speed to do that, and he will probably get the ball stolen by a guard as soon as he puts in down the floor.

Did you see JHo's wide open shots? Yao can get similar shots. Take Yao outside, paint open up, Tmac will have more room to drive. If they double Tmac, he can pass to Yao or others. Yao need shoot outside shots only if he is open.

I think JVG doesn't allow him to shoot from way out!

Look what Yao needs to be doing is to be in constant motion on offense. He needs to cut low on the left block, then acrross to the right block and then up to the swing up to the key. That will open the lane up for a guard or forward for an easy layup. You can't just have Yao playing down low all the time on the left or right block just standing there fighting through double coverage calling for the ball. He'd be much more effective running to the ball and initiating his offense where he's able to. That motion offense should also apply to your other players and it opens up the floor. JVG's offense is a throwback to an earlier era where everyman has his spot on the floor with spacing and the offense is a passing offense. Rudy T's offense was the motion offense with iso plays. A little of both would be nice don't you think?
