    I'm in Chicago...RCN/Wedgewood.

I had unscrambled cable for three years, then I moved to a new neighborhood---different provider---blam! I'm stuck.

    It's a real downer.:(

    Pimp,

It's doubtful you can walk into a store and buy a "thug card". The only way I know is the internet. Do a search online for Direct TV descrambler or something like that.

Do you have digital cable? Here in Austin, the digital cable boxes have built in VCR timers that will change the channel at a given time so you can record shows on different channels while away. Then again, Austin's digital cable is the best there is -- not sure why, but Houston (also Time Warner digital) is absolutely horrendous comparatively.

Shanna, you're a goddess. That was the trick. Found it while playing around with the cable box settings.

Got to tape and watch my first ep of Enterprise last night. Not sold. Seems like A. Bakula is Overacting or B. Bakula is such a good actor in comparison to the rest of the staff, it seems likes he's overacting.

I think it's a bit of both. I like T-Pols character, but the big (umm, uhhhh) 'attention getters' are distracting.

    shanna sweetheart ;) ,

Is Austin Digital different than Time Warner? We are southwest and had Time Warner. The digital quality sucked.

The way to go is with the Direct TV cards. Seems everyone sells em (you can find them on the net everywhere). You get everything from p*rn to Free Pass on football, baseball, basketball, etc. Even pay per view. I have heard - and this is total heresay - that the cable people can detect the illegal boxes by driving thru neighborhoods with a device that can detect the signal. Now this seems far fetched but I'm just passing along some bs that someone fed me. (eat it up!!!). Now, I feel it's my duty to remind you that this is illegal (in a federal sense). So be careful. Free cable or satellite is not worth jail time or the fines that would surely accompany getting caught. But, screw it!!! Free p*rn is free p*rn. And that is worth its weight in gold!!!;)

I used to know someone that had it...heheh...but Direct TV sent down a nasty Electronic Counter measure and nuked my....errr...my friends cards.

Now all that equipment I.....errrr....my buddy bought to program the H card is obsolete.

    :D
