I think Bull is calling for Walt's bench time. Wiz seems to be playing better and Bull is playing worse (I'm not saying to cut Bull - so don't read that into it). I think it's time to give Walt back his starting job and put Bull back in his role of a bench player, 3 point set shooter to loosen the post up. And Rudy, that Bull on Zo was classic Don Nelson. Bet Miami didn't plan on that!
Rogers is too busy starting at center (isn't that sad?). But actually, I think maybe they should be putting Kenny Thomas in at PF with Shandon at SF until Cato (and hopefully Dream) comes back. Bull is starting at the 4 for now and that's not a position for Williams to play -- and I'd rather not have Bull there either. When we get a center back, we can put Rogers back at starting PF, and when we get another center back, I'd like to see a Dream, Cato, Rogers, Anderson, Francis line-up. We'd be big (finally) and fast.
Time for the Wiz to start packing his bags. ------------------ A broken coffeepot in the dishwasher is worth five stitches in the wrist.
I think it is time to start Kenny Thomas. Francis Mobley Anderson Thomas Rogers When Cato gets back....Thomas goes back to the bench...and when Dream gets back...Rogers goes to the bench DaDakota
I am not opposed to starting Kenny Thomas. It is also way past time for Walt to get aboard the bus and chug-a-lug out of town.
I hope noone's serious about starting Kenny Thomas in the future, although I could see him starting now while the main guys heal their wounds and ills. But remember, we do need sparks off the bench. If Walt and Kenny play well off the bench, KEEP them there. I like the way Rogers (especially when he's healthy) and Cato can cut to the hoop and mesh with the paly of the backcourt. Not having these guys playing or playing healthy takes a big part of our offense away. I don't see Kenny Thomas having the same strengths as those two. But for that matter, it does make sense to play people with similar styles of play at the same time. If Kenny can rebound and make the outside shot (with more consistent playing time his shot % should also become more consistent), playing him with Walt at the same time gives us two outside threats at the forward positions. On the other hand, with Anderson, Mobley and Francis driving and playing havoc in the backcourt, I like the idea of having attacking big men complementing their playmaking abilities. Again, TWO players with similar strengths, whether it's the outside shot or aggressive mobility in the paint, can overload the opposing defensea and cause mismatches.
mobley/cato sub combo at the 7:00 mark of 1st has been very powerful. With that said, i'm with JuanValdez (yet again) and can't resist seeing Cato and Dream start together and Cato play as many minutes as it takes to ensure one of those two is on the floor at all times. Then again, Cato does seem to tire out sometimes, all that jummping...you know.
