When will Cuttino and Eddie most likely be cleared to play? I heard that their injuries arent that serious and they would play soon, but since Im going to the Trailblazers vs. Houston game in Corvallis, Im hoping they will be back by tomorrow. Anyone have any updates?

Looks like Friday for Griffin and possibly Mobley. Rice won't be back until the last preseason game or the first game of the season.

With Rice, I can see it's probably best to make him take it easy while nothing counts, but it may take time for him to get used to playing with the other guys and vice-versa. I hope it doesn't cost us a few of the first ten games of the season, considering how important he'll be to our offense this year. Then again, he is a veteran, so maybe he'll be able to adjust easier. I guess it should be fine as long as the Rockets ease him in the first few weeks, maybe having him come off the bench initially and play only limited minutes per game.

I thought Rice was playing tomorrow! I saw it in the Rockets summary in the Chronicle.

You're right. I was responding to Jeff's comments, and then I read the Chronicle article. That'll be neat to finally see him in action.

Speaking of injuries. with Webber being out 6wks, if we get a good start, we miight be able to improve our positioning

    leebigez,

I posted that question in another thread also. I think the Kings will stay around .500 without him. I think the Rockets might have a slow start, since the start of the season will the the first time a lot of these players will be playing together. So I expect by the time we really start to gel together Webber will be back and whatever ground we might have gained on the Kings will be lost. I hope I'm wrong though!

Personally, I don't think Webber's injury is necessarily beneficial to the Rockets. Sacramento will still be out of the Rockets' league, and unless we capitalize on the game(s) we play Sacramento in in that time period, what may happen is that teams above us in the Western Conference more likely to do better may gain an additional win or two more than us at the Kings' expense.

I dont know about Eddie or Rice, but I know that Cat didn't make the trip. I saw him last night at Sam's Boat watching the Dark Tan model search with his father, friends and co-club owner's. I finally met him and he was a real down to earth guy and easy to talk to. He said that his injury was not serious, but that keith jones just wanted him to rest and get ready for the season. He also said Marc Jackson was in Houston and that the team is fairly certain that GS is not going to match the offer.

    FYI

They struggled big time without Webber and to think they won'y do it again. Those are a lot of points and rebounds to make up.
