Let me get this straight: Charles Barkley is my favourite basketball player ever. But this does not mean that I am not p***ed off by his commentary for TNT. He said the Rockets can't beat the Jazz and get to the 2nd round. He said the Jazz is going to the conference finals. He said Yao is only the Robin on this team. He said if Tmac can't get past the 1st round this year, there will be not a gorilla, but a entire zoo on his back. And as we all remember in Yao's rookie season, he said Yao can't score 20 pts. The 2nd game on Monday night may be the only game covered by TNT in this series. So when the cameras hit Toyota Centre that night, when Chuckster sits his fat ass on the stinky couch of the TNT green room with a dozen donuts in his mouth, let's make sure that in every corner of the arena, the clutchfans have their signs ready to remind him of all the BS he said throughout the season. Whatever idea you guys have got, bring it on!
Let go of that anger man. He says some weird things, but he's admitted that he was wrong on most of them. Hell he even kissed a donkey's butt on national tv. I think he's a good sport about it.
Actually, charles already reversed the bandwagon. After rocks got HCA, he said the rockets are the darkhorse and how they are so good now What else can u expect from somebody like charles?
I'm older than most of you guys, but I stopped listening to Barkley way back when he said the union would not let the league "take away" Sprewell's "money" after he choked Carlesimo. Later on when he said he would kiss Kenny's *** if Yao ever scored 20 points, I was reminded again why I stopped listening. Charles Barkley is nothing but a fat blowhard who is lucky that basketball gets him an audience. Don't get worked up by anything he predicts. He is a great example of how former athletes often know very little about the game they were great at and why very few of them are successful coaches.

Going by his gambling losses, Barkley stinks at gauging a field or predicting outcomes. You should not get worked up about anything coming out of his mouth. For the record, I never liked Barkley and which he never wore a Rockets uni.
it won't ever change anyone inclined to hate Charles for his opinions but they pretty much pay him to play the fool. as someone said earlier in the thread (sorry i forgot your moniker and i'm too lazy to look it up) he is a good sport about it. sports can be fun, trash talkin', bragging, being proven RIGHT ... it's all good, give it a try, laugh with Charles. hell, laugh at him, that works too.

I hate Barkley and his big mouth. Consider he was once a rocket and yet always said bad things about us. Never like him before and never will.
